This is my favourite gloss! I picked it up as part of a value set at Marshall’s for a great price. The colour is super flattering on my complexion, and I love the hint of sparkle! Although I like how it subtly plumps my lips, I do find the minty tingling a little bit irritating.
Beautiful packaging, beautiful colour selection, and an outstanding formula. What more can you ask for?! Tarte is my go-to brand when it comes to eyeshadow because of their blendability and smoothness on the eye. This palette looks gorgeous on my vanity and I always get excited to reach for it!
I #gotitfree from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Firstly, I absolutely love the flavour. It’s a Smokey BBQ flavour that’s perfect for enjoying at the cottage (like I did on Canada day). If anything, I’d prefer that flavour to be even spicier or tangier. When I eat chips, I always pick out the ones with bubbles first, so #poppables are a dream for me; they’re light and crunchy, just the way I like them. I think the serving size is very generous, as you get a lot of chips in a relatively small bag. Although I like the shape and texture of the chips, I would prefer if they were smaller so that I didn’t have to open my mouth so wide in order to eat them. Finally, my least favourite aspect of this product is the high fat content. I compared it to other chip brands/varieties and found that it had more fat per serving than most others on the market. It doesn’t make sense that such a light, airy-tasting chip could be so fatty! All in all, I really liked these chips, and I will be trying the other flavours in the future.
Absolutely delicious!! Before I went vegetarian, BBQ pulled pork was one of my favourite meals. I'm a huge fan of Gardein products, and they certainly didn't disappoint with this product. It really does taste like pulled pork! The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because they are not very filling; you'd have to have two or more if you want it to constitute your whole meal. That being said, I would totally recommend it to any vegetarians/vegans out there, especially those who are new to the lifestyle!
Chobani is one of my favorite Greek yogurt brands. As a Canadian, it is one of the products I always stock up on when I cross the border. I enjoy the large serving size and the fact that it is so low-calorie, but the vanilla flavor is a little bit bland. I would recommend Chobani's coconut or blueberry yogurt instead!
Holy cow. This stuff works. I'll start off by saying that I can't remember the last time I purchased L'Oreal shampoo or conditioner. Usually (out of habit) I buy Herbal Essences, but I think L'Oreal's Extraordinary Oil line has me hooked on the brand. My first impression wasn't great; I'm not too fond of the whole mustard-and-gold colour scheme. However, it's what's inside the containers that really counts, right? The shampoo and conditioner both produce a thick lather, so you don't have to use much of either product when you wash your hair. When I washed out the shampoo during my first use, I could already feel a difference in the smoothness and softness of my hair. My hair felt so lightweight that it was almost like it wasn't even there! Pretty impressive for just the first wash. Another thing I love about the Extraordinary Oil line is the fragrance. It smells like coconut and sunscreen and all things tropical, and if you close your eyes it's like being transported to a beachside vacation. Plus, it makes your hair smell awesome, too. The reason why I give the Extraordinary Oil line a four-star rating as opposed to a five-star rating is because the Nourishing Mask Balm is unnecessary. I don't have time to wash my hair, let it air-dry, and then wash my hair again! Besides, the shampoo and conditioner do an awesome job without it! I recommend L'Oreal's Extraordinary Oil line to anyone who wants shinier, smoothr, nicer-smelling hair. I suggest purchasing just the shampoo and conditioner, though, and not bothering with the mask balm. All in all, L'Oreal's new line is killing it, and I'm sure I'll be purchasing more of their hair products in the future!
I was in Girl Guides for 8 years, and I loved every minute of it. I met so many awesome and unique girls and we formed bonds over the camping trips. My favorite part (by far) was collecting badges. At one point I had to wear 2 sashes so I could display all of the badges I had earned! It never occurred to me at the time, but looking back on my experience I wish the badges could've been less gender-stereotyped. I mean, the majority of the badges they offered were for "housewife" activities like baby'sitting, cooking, sewing, etc. For an organization that is built upon exploring the outdoors, it's disappointing that not many of the badges reflected that idea. Nevertheless, I recommend any paren't of a young girl to sign his/her daughter up for Girl Guides so she doesn't miss out on an awesome opportunity to make friends and have fun!
This has to be one of my all-time favorite books. I first read it when I was 15, and the character of Charlie just seemed to resonate with me. I ended up reading it again four more times that year (the only other book I've ever re-read is The Catcher in the Rye). This book is a quick read, but it's a powerful read. If you're a teenager and you feel alone or depressed (or even if you don't, I guess) The Perks of Being a Wallflower is the book to get you through those tough years.
The movie isn't half bad, either. Read the book first.
