I got the Greek yogurt raspberry bar in the Good Life VoxBox. Upon opening the packaging, I was struck with a strong sugary berry aroma. I registered the scent as very saccharin, but not really pleasant or unpleasant. The bar tasted very sweet, but I enjoyed it. Some people might find it to be too sweet to enjoy. The bar had a chalky, dry, slightly cardboard-like texture that I enjoyed very much. It sounds bad, but it was an interesting texture that can often be found in nutrition bars. Pretty sure it's a love it or hate it thing. The yogurt coating on the outside is a definite plus. The bar left me feeling full. This is definitely something I'd pack for going hiking or some similar activity. Overall, I enjoyed the bar, but I'd probably continue buying Clif bars over these.
I got this as a sample from a magazine. I tried it on my arm and was pretty disturbed to notice that beneath the annoying musky scent of the lotion was a FISH smell. If I have to say it, no, my arm did not smell like fish before I used the lotion. It's not very moisturizing, either.
I used two Elf polishes today- Sunflower and Skinny Jeans. Both were extremely streaky and started to pull and drag almost instantly during application. As someone who does her nails nearly everyday, I could handle the tricky formula, but I could see the trouble being too much for most average users. With Seche Vite top cost, I expect this polish to wear for at least a few days, but I don't keep my polish on for that long. I'd also like to mention that the caps, when fully tightened, do not line up evenly with the bottles- this bothers me.
I use this in place of tape when I'm doing watermarble nail art. I slather it on the skin around my nails before I start. When I'm done, all I have to do is use a toothpick to scrape off the excess polish and lip balm. It all comes off very cleanly. It is MUCH MUCH easier to apply than tape and it's very moisturizing (tape is drying). I don't know why more nail artists don't use this method,
These aren't moisturizing, but they don't feel anywhere near as drying as other colored balms. I imagine putting this on top of a moisturizing balm would be a good move. The color applies smoothly and lasts a long time through various activities (I kissed, drank from a bottle, talked, etc). I have the Bright Berry color, which looks nice with my fair skin. Not crazy pigmented, but not sheer at all. Just right for me.
