I have a service dog in training, and while I had hoped to stick to positive reinforcement, it just wasn't possible. The issue was his safety. With a roommate who regularly leaves out unsafe foods for dogs, and a tall dog with a curious nose, disaster kept striking. I also live in a city, which means a lot of grossness on the ground during walks.

This collar is phenomenal. For starters, if you're like me and don't want to use the shock setting, you don't have to! I use the beep to get him to focus, and vibrate when I need to stop him from doing something dangerous. Even at 50-60%, it snaps him out of it, and he has very thick hair, and a whole lot of neck skin. What I've been doing is using the beep, and if he stops what he's doing and focuses, he gets a treat. If he continues the bad behavior, there is a vibration, along with my verbal "No."

I plan on buying a second one, just so I can have one to use while this one is charging. The only downside has been other people looking at me as though I'm a bad person because they assume I'm shocking my dog, or looking at me as though my dog is vicious because he's wearing a training collar. For me, it's about his safety. People can judge, as long as my dog is learning and safe.
Review for Hamilton Beach 7.2 Cup Electric Kettle - Stainless Steel - 10 months, 1 week ago
I just keep coming up with uses for this amazing product! For Christmas I received this kettle, and a hot water bottle. The combination has been stellar. Unlike some of the smaller volume kettles, this Hamilton beach Kettle makes plenty of water without having to cycle through more than once. Another bonus is just how quickly it heats up the water. Within 5 minutes, even filled to max, the water is boiling hot.

The BIGGEST thing for me, is the fact that you can lift the kettle off the base. The only experience I had prior to this kettle, was a friend's older model. That older model was one piece, so you couldn't have the freedom to move around with the kettle to pour. Beyond convenient.

I have used it for hot water with lemon and honey, filling up my hot water bottle, and making water for instant macaroni and cheese. Yes, you red that correctly. If you put some butter in the bottom of the instant cup (or regular cup/bowl) pour the noodles in, then pour water that has been heated completely, let it sit for several minutes, and then check on it...you'll have cooked noodles.

I wish I'd known about this in college. If you are a student, live in an apartment, are a tea drinker, or have health issues...you need this in your life. Even if you don't fit into any of those categories, I still highly recommend getting yourself one. It is affordable and super convenient.

Review for Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Original - 1 year, 2 months ago
Do they work? Yes...but they're insanely frustrating to use. Unless you're only trying to clean a small surface area, you're going to need a ton of them to get the job done. They fall apart, leaving little white flecks all over the place. I have an area of my wall I want to clean because my dog has scratched it up, but I know I'll need at least 3-4 magic erasers to effectively clean the wall.

I'm not saying don't buy them, because the do work, and I will purchase them again. Just remember to go slow, use minimal pressure, and be prepared to vacuum up the shreds of the thing when the cleaning is over with.
Review for Barefoot Pink Moscato - 1 year, 2 months ago
After years of having to avoid alcohol due to allergy issues, I was pleasantly surprised to find I was no longer reacting. Prior to health issues, I was very big on pinot grigio, and liked Barefoot's brand for taste and value. My tastes had changed, though, so I opted to give the pink moscato a shot. I wanted something sweeter, and not too dry. Barefoot nailed it!

I'm not saying it's the best wine in the world, but if you're looking for an affordable wine, that everyone will enjoy, this is definitely the way to go. The sweeter flavor appeals to most people, and the notes are light enough for it to go well with most meals, too. Officially my new go to over pinot grigio now!

Review for Clean & Clear® Daily Pore Cleanser - 1 year, 4 months ago

I love this product, with one caveat...it definitely is for dry skin. I can't use it daily, because my skin gets dry, but when I do use it, it definitely controls acne. The issue is that I end up having to moisturize my face a ton to compensate for the drying factor. If you tend to have oily skin, this is a product you'll love. If you have dry or combination skin, just be prepared to compensate for some added dryness.

Review for Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque - 1 year, 4 months ago

Rescues dry skin without taking things from dry to oily! Love using this at night, and waking up with soft skin. Helps smooth the dryness so I can apply makeup without flaking and annoying peeling. It's a bit on the expensive side, so I don't purchase it as often as I'd like. I really need to make this a staple, though!

Review for Neutrogena® CoolDry Sport Sunscreen Spray SPF 70 - 1 year, 4 months ago
I don't usually use sunscreen sprays, but I decided to give this a shot. I love their facial sunscreen, but this was definitely not for every day use. Like most sprays, it went on nicely, but it got sticky...fast. It also left a white residue that I needed to try and rub into my arms and legs. It did work, so I'll give it three starts for that. I would use this for beach days, or other outdoor sporting situations, but it isn't for every day use.
Review for Neutrogena® Rapid Clear Foaming Scrub - 1 year, 4 months ago

I like this scrub, but only when I'm not in the middle of a dry skin breakout. Like any acne product, it does have a bit of a burning sensation on dry or sensitive portion of your skin. It did make my skin softer, though, and helped to tame impending breakouts. I don't know that I would use this every day, but I definitely use it if I'm having a period of time where my skin is breaking out. I love that it foams, because  used it with my facial brush.

Review for Cetaphil Gentle Makeup Removing Wipes - 1 year, 4 months ago
Chemotherapy destroyed my skin. I have dry skin naturally, and it was only worsened by the chemo. Most makeup removers left me with burning skin...but not Cetaphil. These wipes will take your makeup off, without scrubbing, and leave your skin feeling soft and clean. This is absolutely amazing for anyone with sensitive skin. Take off the makeup without taking off the top layer of your skin!
