I received the belief moisturizing eye bomb in an Ipsy bag last year and I have been hooked ever since. It has a lightweight, gel-cream consistency that is not greasy or heavy under the eye. It does not irritate or cause my eyes to water like a lot of others I've tried. Using this daily has improved the hydration of my skin.
I tried the Sephora play box for a few months. The first was a nice variety of makeup, hair and fragrance samples. The price being only $10 a month and it included a coupon for shopping at Sephora as an added bonus. I didn't like that there is no way to customize your bag. After the first two months I didn't like what was picked and some of the sample sizes were very small and didn't seem to be worth it. I ended up canceling. I bought it originally in comparison to the ipsy glam bag and ever month that I had it I preferred the ipsy bag.
Pros: Multi use Great base for shadow Easy glide on liner Affordable Good for travel
Cons: Tip too soft after first use Not the blackest black
When I first opened this liner I was able to create an ombre gold to black wing liner. However after that first use I found the tip not precise enough for the more sharp looks and detail work. And the black side comes off more as an ashy gray black than a true black. I did find myself using it for quick 10min makeup days where the gold side was used for my lid color and the black smudged into lash line and smoked out. It is also good as a base for eye shadows to have more of a pop. Overall I will continue to use especially when traveling for it's versatility however I have better pencils at a similar price point so I probably would not repurchase unless it was a deal of some sort.
Pros: Formula not clumpy Buildable for more volume Full wand bristles to coat every lash Easy to remove at night Affordable Very black
Cons: Transfers under lower lashes Took 2-3 costs for noticeable difference
When I first applied it I was not impressed. However after little more trial and layering it 3-4 coats it added some nice length and volume without being clumpy. The formula is not too wet and it was very easy to remove at night before bed. The only real problem I ran into was using it on my lower lashes, the full bristles were a bit awkward to get around my lower lash line and after I did it still tended to transfer to my under eye throughout the day. Overall for the price point it is solid choice and one of the better choices for drugstore mascara.
The colors are fine. The problem I have with it is the supposed gel. It is no thicker and doesn't stay on any longer than any of my other polishes. I will continue to use it up but do not plan on repurchasing.
This palette Is right in my wheel house. The mattes are pigmented and blendable. The shimmers are not smooth and vibrant. The colors selected lend themselves very easily to day and nighttime looks. I just love the pop of teal, blue, and purple. Its perfect for any occasion.
