I am an unabashed beauty enthusiast! I get my thrills from trying all sorts of new makeup and, these days, lots and lots of skin care. There is something so soothing about a morning and evening skincare routine. Ahhhh...
I'm also get a thrill from a squeaky-clean house and organizational systems. Attractive storage solutions are my jam!
One of my go-tos when I'm looking for bold color. As I've stated before, my dry, wrinkly lips don't do well with matte lip color. This particular product is high shine but with excellent color payoff. (It comes in a variety of bold, bright colors as well as a few nudes.) If use it with a liner, it will last a few hours without a touch-up. Of course (as with any really creamy formula) it will need tending to after eating or drinking out of a cup. My lips always feel nourished with this color on. I'll happily trade the slightly shorter wear time for comfortable lips.
Love these lip pencils. The value is incredible as they can be found in any drugstore for a really reasonable price. They come in myriad colors to go with any of your lipsticks. My favorite part is that they are the perfect consistency for me - smooth enough to make a flawless line but not so gel-like that they slip all over. The lasting power is solid. I'm sure I'll add more colors to my collection soon!
I keep a pack of these floss picks in my car at all times. Since I sometimes neglect flossing (don't we all?) I find that having the option when I'm stuck in traffic with nothing else to do works well.
The picks are fairly sturdy. The toothpick end is a bit flimsy, but I rarely use that. I'd say 85% of the time I have no trouble flossing. The other 15% of the time my tight teeth end up pulling the little floss bit off of the pick.
Even with their minor faults, I'd recommend the product for general convenience and effectiveness.
My tried and true floss! I have very tight teeth and this is one of the few flosses that can Glide (ha) between them with ease. Although the case looks small, each pack lasts me quite a long time.
This is one of the more expensive flosses out there, but it's worth the cost for its excellent mint flavor and reliable performance. Keep an eye out for manufacturer coupons and you'll be even happier!
Let me start by saying that I've never been disappointed by a Japonesque brush. Their synthetic fibers are some of the softest and fluffiest around and seem to stand up to both regular use and washing well.
Although this is billed as a concealer brush, I actually use it for highlighter most of the time. The bristle bunch is roughly quarter-sized, so it works really well for targeted cheek highlight. With that said, the fibers also feel like they would blend out cream concealer nicely.
Japonesque brushes are regularly on some sort of sale at Ulta, so you can always find. Good deal. I also snag them at my local TJ Maxx. Always a great value for the money!
I made the mistake of leaving my old tweezer at the mercy of my husband. I don't know if he was picking at metal and diamonds with it or what, but somehow the tip became so damaged that it no longer worked. I've always trusted Tweezerman and found this tweezer on clearance, so I picked it up. What a dream!
I think I actually prefer the mini version to the full size. It's easy to get a good grip on every hair and maneuver in from all angles. I've not yet found a fine hair that this tool couldn't grab on the first try.
The tweezer comes with a tiny cylindrical plastic case so it doesn't get lost quite as easily in a purse or travel bag AND so it won't get damaged. A nice little touch.
I'd say this is worth it at full price, so I'm really pleased that I found it for such a steal at TJMaxx!
This has been my go-to one and done eye shadow for quite a long time now. I have the shade Tough As Taupe and it's a perfect shade to just add a little something something on a daily basis. It's decently pigmented, blends out well and never creases on me. I also use this as a base for powder eyeshadows if I want to deepen things up, and it really helps to enhance the color of my other shadows and lock things into place. The value is amazing and I'd highly recommend!
YouTube made me do it. I didn't want to believe that a drugstore foundation could ever be as good as the reviews (from all sorts of people with many different skin types) were saying. I was foolish to have waited so long!
This foundation is my dream come true. It feels like absolutely nothing on the skin, but provides a SOLID medium coverage. It doesn't sink into any of my lines and wrinkles. It doesn't accentuate my dry spots. It is BUDGE PROOF. Today I've had it on for a good 7 hours already and it looks like I just applied it. Ugh! Beautiful.
I can't speak for the full shade range, but on the lighter end of the spectrum, there are myriad options in various undertones to make finding your match easy. It also contains an SPF of 25 which I always like to see in my foundations.
L'Oreal has a MAJOR winner here!

I have had this little vacuum for five years now and it's still going strong! The best part about it for me (aside from the phenomenal performance) is the size. We have lived in TINY apartments and because this is as close to a stick vacuum as real vacuums come, it's so easy to use and store! The machine is incredibly light, making vacuuming stairs and such so easy. It lays almost flat on the ground so you can maneuver it under low-sitting furniture. It also comes with a variety of attachments for getting into nooks and crannies and cleaning upholstery. When/if this does, you can bet I'll be back for another Shark!
