This is SUPER lemony. I couldn’t even taste the ginger because the lemon was so overpowering. I like lemon, but this was too much. Maybe in a different dish I could’ve appreciated it more, but just on crackers, I was not a fan.
This show is unlike any other because of the superhero aspect and the very real social awareness it comes with. Luke Cage is an amazing character and his story is incredible. The series gives enough action and story to where it's appealing to people who prefer one or the other.
Quite possibly one of the most unique stories from a "superhero" brand, because The Punisher is an antihero. His story is compelling and even if you don't agree with his actions or plan, he makes you love him and root for him. Jon Bernathal is the best actor to play this role and do this character justice.
Even if you aren't into comics much, this series is incredible. The second season is one of my favorite seasons of any show I've ever watched. The characters are fantastic and the story is incredible. It did not take me long to get into or love. You just kinda start watching it and can't stop.
This show is absolutely phenomenal. It certainly can be a triggering show, so that's something to keep in mind. But it certainly shows the resilience of not only women, but any sort of assault survivor. It has a great storyline that is also very interesting in terms of all of The Defenders.
One of my favorite shows of all time hands down. I didn't watch it when I was younger so I don't even have that "nostalgia" factor it's just that damn good. It is truly a show with the motto "question everything" and I love that about it. Dana Scully is a role model for young women in so many ways, and I LOVE that even though the two main characters are of the opposite sex, they don't dwell on any sort of romantic aspect.
Marvel can truly do no wrong. This show is pretty different compared to what people usually think of about Marvel. The characters still have "abilities" but it's mostly about the behind the scenes work in this universe. The seasons are so vastly different but still connect seamlessly without being boring or repetitive.
First of all, the best part of this show is that it's SATIRE. It's dark comedy, it's crude, and it points out humanities flaws as a whole. Some episodes don't convey this as strongly, and those aren't my favorite episodes for sure. It's also amazing that the writers write these episodes sometimes days before they air so they can be as up-to-date as possible.
I absolutely adore Mindy Kaling so I decided to watch this show and it certainly stands up to her sense of humor and character if you're also a fan of her. She is entertaining as ever, and the other characters make it worth getting invested in further than just the main character. Its only flaw is the last season, which I wasn't a fan of and it just didn't seem contiguous with the rest of the series.
