It was only five dollars. That's what I tell myself when I use this as a bathroom spray. It's not a bad fragrance but ultimately it's just not my style and thankfully it was only a $5 mistake. The first spritz smells overwhelmingly of roses and turns sour on my skin. This does have a hint of a higher end Chanel type perfume but without longevity. It's Feb and I have an inch left.
Somewhere online, I was told this smelled like a perfume version of Voluspa's Volcano candle. And yes, it does smell like candle. Wax, warts, and all. It starts to die down to an Axe Body spray vibe. Eventually it starts to smell better, but the journey it takes to get to the dry down is way too far. I find myself catching a whiff of this and thinking, "I wasted a Scentbird month for this?" STATUS: Gave it to my husband. This is supposed to be unisex but all I could think of is AXE body spray. Something an undiscerning thirteen year old boy would spray to hide his B.O. I couldn't and ended it giving it away. Would never, ever repurchase this. Here ends the end of all of last year's Scentbird perfumes!
Got this as a trial size from Scentbird. I thought I liked it, but I ended up hating the aquatic-like plum notes that remind me too much of lipstick. It's not nearly as deep, oaky, or woodsy as something named "Dark Rum" is supposed to be. The dry down is divine but I just don't feel like waiting around for it to arrive.
STATUS: Finished on 1/18! Also didn't love it. Smells too plummy and jammy for my taste. I was hoping it would be deeper and smokier. Oh well. Would not repurchase.
The first time I tried this one, it was in April 2015. I spritz a sample in an Anthropologie in San Francisco and immediately thought to myself, "This smells like a woman who has her s*** together." (I am a woman who clearly does not.)
But this was the same day I fell in love with a man who would become my husband. Three years later, I wore this on our wedding day.
STATUS: Used up on 1/18! I still like it, although the dry down is VERY perfumey smelling. I'd repurchase although only in a travel size. I like it but I'm not crazy about it.
REVIEW: For a person with eternally dry flaky skin, body milk is a joke. It does smell good, like a creamy and light tropical flower. Some people it smells like de-caf Jasmine but I disagree. It gives me major banana leaf vibes which I kind of love.
STATUS: My mom stole it so it's technically gone. I'm glad of it. I started to get really sick of the scent which smelled like sour and sweaty. I would not repurchase this.
