Method is my go to, every day cleaning brand. Everything in this line -- wood polish, squirt-and-mop, bathroom cleaner -- is worth its weight. Plus it's non toxic and good for the environment! Major pluses in my book. The lime and sea salt is one of my top favorite because it smells like a clean, unisex cologne. Great for bachelor pads who don't want their homes to smell like flowers or fruit. I highly recommend it and I'll continue to buy this as long as it's available.
I am a professional cleaner/organizer and I love this brand and scent line. It doesn't smell like lavender at all to me, more like spiced apple which is fabulous in autumn. I don't like strong chemicals when I clean and Mrs. Meyers is perfect because it strips surfaces of oils, disinfects, is gentle enough for homes with children, the elderly, and pregnant women, and smells amazing. I highly recommend anyone who wants to clean with all-natural, low chemical products that actually WORKS.
I'm a religious handwasher and I have very strong feelings about hand soap. I love Mrs. Meyer's products period and recommend them to anyone. Their scents never smell like how you'd think they would (i.e. their geranium scent smells like roses, lavender smells like spiced apple, etc) and the basil scent definitely doesn't smell like a basil leaf. It has a soothing, slightly herbal scent that smells clean without reminding me of laundry detergent. In fact, if they made a Basil laundry detergent, I would definitely buy it.
It doesn't strip my hand of moisturize and the scent lasts soooo long. I love it.
I'm a professional cleaning lady/organizer and I inhale a lot of a cleaning products throughout the week. I bought Seventh Generation's Disinfectant because I wanted something eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and more importantly, reduced my chances of getting chemical related cancer in the future. This product does a surprisingly good job at reducing oil slick on counter tops and lasted me almost a year with liberal use. I like the sturdy nozzle because with other products, they tend to stop working after a while. The scent reminds me of parsley. Part of professionally cleaning is making the house smell clean and no one thinks, "oh, my house smells so fresh and clean like parsley." I wouldn't be opposed to buying it again but only as a backup product.
I'm currently on the hunt for the best instant coffee money can buy, and at not even a dollar per box, I can't complain. You honestly get what you paid for. The instruction says pour the contents of the package in a 6 oz cup but my coffee ended up watery and tasteless. It's not at all disappointing because I assumed as much but hoped for the best.
I'm currently on a hunt for the best instant coffee (#InstaCoffee?) for when I move to the Philippines and for once there won't be a Starbucks within a one block radius of me. I don't mind the local coffee but I'm going to attempt a sugar-less life when I'm there. Someone pat me on the head for my naivete please.
Enter STARBUCKS® Pike Place® Roast Smooth & Balanced VIA® Instant stage left. While not as terrific as I thought it would be, it's not as terrible as it could be. I'm currently drinking it black to get a better idea of its flavor profile. It's not bitter and has a smooth finish. I like my coffee a little bit bitter to reflect the woes of life so I'll try out the "harder" versions.
This is beginner coffee. I'm coming from the standpoint of "if I were stuck in a remote island for a month, would I bring this coffee?" The answer is no but I'm still using it up because this 8 pc isn't cheap in comparison to other options.
I received a regular bottle and travel sized bottle of the shampoo and conditioner from a client. I don't necessarily meet the requirements for anything it's meant for (for example, it's for fine and long haired individuals whereas at the moment I have thick, short hair) but I enjoy using it regardless! I appreciate it being SLS-free and it lathers wonderfully. At this point the scent is faint but I don't mind it at all. This is not something I would normally buy for myself because of price so this is a nice treat!
Finding this lipgloss came from an unfortunate accident. My favorite lip balm keeled over basically on the first day of my three week vacation. I was fine with using my husband's until I got sick.
Tell me why it's so dang hard to find lip balm at Newark Airport Terminal C? I ended up at the duty free shop with my sad, crusty lips forking over $20 for a product I WAS SURE I was never going to use again. I was wrong. I will never use another lip gloss ever again.
I don't like lip gloss. I'm a very matte, liquid lip paint kinda gal. SuperBalm Moisturizing Gloss isn't sticky, it's very comfortable, moisturizing, and thankfully unscented. You get a lot for what you pay for and I've been using it every day since I've got it to combat winter lips. I highly recommend it!
Using Herbal Essences Blue Ginger Conditioner (a.k.a. Re:Fresh) marks a momentous occasion for me . . . unlocking a free promotional item. I just came back from a three week long vacation full of sun, surf, and pollution without all my usual hair treatments in tow so my platinum bleached blonde strands were fried (to say the least). Awaiting in my pile of mail garbage was my VoxBox with this conditioner and matching shampoo.
Oh dear. Where do I begin.
I'm not a picky person when it comes to my products but the fact that the shampoo has Sodium Laureth Sulfates (SLS) is an immediate turn off. I'm allergic to anything with SLS and live an SLS-free life. I took off a star for that. For the sake of celebrating my Influenster achievement I still used it with a fair shake.
I wish that the shampoo was packaged for what it's originally intended for: Clarifying. Everything about it screams clarifying shampoo, which means you really aren't supposed to be using these types of products regularly. At most, twice a week depending on how much silicone filled styling treatments you use.
I liked the scent, a very light, ginger flower fragrance. The texture of the actual product felt like jello and if I wasn't careful, it got sucked back into the bottle in my hand. It's not my preferred texture but I don't hate it. My hair is very thirsty and it took me a decent amount to coat and lather all my strands to my satisfaction.
After I rinsed, my hair felt very dry which is to be expected for chemically treated head full of hair. But even the accompanying conditioner didn't help that. Another star is taken off for that.
I was expecting my head to itch like crazy after using it but to my surprise, it didn't! Unfortunately for my husband who used it as well, it did make his scalp itch. Still, I'm keeping a star for my personal experience.
This shampoo wasn't for me. Like, at all. I don't need volumizing, I need moisture and this shampoo simply didn't deliver. I like the natural route Herbal Essences is going and even though this didn't work for me, I'd be curious to use the others in this line that are more for my hair type.
