Review for Dove Daily Moisture Conditioner - 11 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I liked how this worked for my hair, but it contains chemicals that irritated my skin.  The smell is nice, the price is good.  If you don't have any sensitivities methylisothiazolinone or related chemicals, I would say go for it! Dove is supposed to be for sensitive skin, but with the chemicals it uses, I avoid their products.

Review for Julep(TM) Sugar Suite Mini Nail Set - No Color - 11 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I really love Julep nail polish because whatever ISN'T in them, is what causes me to get raging migraines with other brands.  I can paint my nails with Julep without the headache.  The formula is a little thin, you usually need 2-3 coats, but it's worth it to avoid the pain.
Review for OPI W-C-12766 Nail Lacquer NL BC2 No Doubt About it Nail Polish for Women - 11 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
OPI nail colors have some of the best variety I've found when trying to match things.  No Doubt About it is super bright and definitely attention getting.  My one caveat with OPI is that you NEED a top coat.  I usually use one anyway, but for other brands, I don't always NEED one.  OPI will often flake right off.  Not a huge deal as I usually use a top coat.
Review for Garnier SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water - 1 year ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I have very sensitive skin but have found the garnier skinactive 3-in-1 face moisturizer with rose water has become my absolute favorite (at least in the winter months).  I will have to see how it goes as the weather turns warm.  I use a Norwex body cloth to clean my face, and with that I am prone to getting dry skin, so I combat it with this.  I use it twice a day, but haven't used it as a mask yet.  I am super prone to acne but it hasn't broken me out yet and I've been using it for about 3 weeks now.  A little goes a long way.  I paid $9.99 from Target and it barely looks like any has been used.  My skin DOES get oily for ME in the T-zone after wearing all day (but it does anyway).  There's a version in this line that is mattifying, so that might be something to consider...it doesn't bother me right now, though.  I have NOT worn it under makeup.  I feel like if you have an oily T-zone, it might make a foundation break up a bit, but I haven't tried.  It leaves my skin ridiculously soft...like I want to feel it all day long.  I definitely recommend this product, though if you're planning on wearing makeup maybe a little experimentation first, try the Green Tea version otherwise.  I can't use the green tea version due to an allergy to two of the ingredients (benzyl salicylate and benzyl alcohol).

Review for Advil® Menstrual Pain - 1 year, 8 months ago
This product is technically Advil fast acting (film coated) (the regular version), if you need to find it in a larger size.  It has become by go-to cramp, headache, body ache, etc medication because 30 mins and the pain is USUALLY gone.  Rarely, I need to add excedrin.  I need to take 800mg of the advil to get rid of my cramps, though, so mine are heavy hitters.  I highly recommend it being a part of everyone's medicine cabinet, not just for cramps.  It's also effective at reducing fevers quicker, as well.
Review for Disney Beauty And The Best Cheek Palette - 1 year, 8 months ago

I have been so excited to try these.  The color is AMAZING and they are highly pigmented...if you go to the store, you can just barely touch them and it shows up on your finger.  I bought mine from Ulta on a plurge impulse buy, and I am so happy that I did.  My absolute favorite!

Review for Clinique Moisture Surge™ CC Cream Hydrating Colour Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF 30 - 1 year, 8 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
Due to ingredient issues, there are few CC Creams I can use.  I chose this one based on reviews and bought it from Ulta in the "Light" color.  I'm usually "Porcelain" or something similar in foundations, and the "Light" in this works well for me.  It's thick...a little goes a long way, depending on how much coverage you want.  I like that it has an SPF.  The ONLY issue I have with it is that it's a little heavy feeling on the skin.  This isn't a tinted moisturizer.  So you will feel it.  But I like the way my skin looks in it, and it's NOT breaking me out! So I'll be buying this again, unless I find something else I like.  This doesn't prevent oil from coming through, so if you prefer a more matte appearance, carry oil blotting papers with you.  I have combination skin that is very acne prone and sensitive to chemicals.

Review for Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 Chocolate Lover's Cake - 1 year, 8 months ago
I'm usually a salty snacker for watching shows but this is great! And I don't have a whole cake sitting around tempting me to eat a piece for breakfast every day. My grocery store has a bunch of flavors that I can't wait to try. They cook up really well and don't stick. Perfect!

Review for Dial® Coconut Milk Moisturizing Body Wash - 1 year, 8 months ago
I wanted to love the Dial Coconut Milk Body Wash.  I read the ingredients list, none of my allergies listed.  I used it.  Broke out bad.  My back is still covered in acne.  I thought maybe I needed to get used to it.  Used it for a week, it was just getting worse, so I quit and bought one of my standards.  Out of curiosity I decided to compare the ingredients, thinking there must be something new I'm allergic to.  But upon looking it up online, found TWO of my allergens listed.  The label on the bottle IS NOT THE SAME.  I have sent in a comment to the company.  I've switched back to one of my norms...but the damage is done.  The label on the bottle is WRONG.  It contains benzyl ingredients.
