Shampoo: I really like the scent (although it's a little weak) and it lathers very nicely. When I first used it I thought it wasn't doing that great of a job cleaning my scalp and actually ended up lather rinse repeating with it because my scalp just didn't feel as clean as it usually does after shampooing. After using it a couple more times with just one lather I realized that it does it's job after just one application and maybe due to the moisturizing properties of the shampoo it just doesn't "feel" as clean / dry out my scalp like other shampoos. I actually really like this shampoo.
Conditioner: I found this to not lather as well as the shampoo did and I wish the smell was stronger because although you can smell it in the bottle, when I have it in my hair and especially when I rinse it out the smell is basically gone. Which is not necessarily a bad thing because it doesn't make my hair smell bad, I just wish it was stronger as i do enjoy the scent.
Nourishing Mask Balm: I have only tried it once so far and didn't notice much of a difference between using the shampoo/conditioner and using the shampoo/condition/mask. I find it kind of a pain to use because you are supposed to towel dry your hair then let it sit for 5 minutes and most of the time I shower in about 5 minutes, so I basically get out of the shower, apply it, wait then rinse and get out of the shower again. I also do not care for the smell, it reminds me of after shave or possibly shaving cream. Not very pleasant. And since there wasn't any noticeable difference for me, the time it takes up really isn't worth it.
Overall: I haven't noticed a huge difference since I started using L'Oréal Paris Hair Expertise Extraordinary Oil. But I have noticed my hair looks less frizzy when I just blow dry it which is very nice and it does seem marginally softer. I will keep using the shampoo and conditioner (at least during the winter) but I would not get the mask again.
