I bought this a few years back from a Halloween makeup store after seeing it on display and remembering the famous Kim K post where she achieves her flawless contour baking with this product. It is on the more expensive side in terms of powders (I paid about £17 for 1.5oz) however this is much more powder than you get when they come in other pots at the drugstore . The main issue I find with this is that when baking their is a massive colour transfer from when the powder is setting into the skin from sitting on your face. If you are not dark skinned I would not recommend using this and it may not even be suitable for tan skin as the colour is far too dark and when left it leaves your foundation discoloured , additionally , I found that around my chin and nose area it emphasised my pores more than usual. Although it is long lasting I would not purchase this again as you can get cheaper alternatives that you can achieve a similar if not better effect using the baking technique rather than this . Although this is “banana” powder I think it is far too yellow based to be used as your everyday setting powder especially if you are fair skinned like me I would not recommend this.
The reason I have not given these lashes five stars is because I find that the eyelash glue that eyelure provide does have a strong fishy smell when you open the tube. For some reason the glue does not smell pleasant at all . On the other hand , the 107’s are one of my go to’s if I buy false eyelashes because they have a good eyelash band which is easy to apply to your eye and I don’t have as many problems getting the inner corner to stick down which I have found with some other styles of eyelure eyelashes . They are just the right size and i would say are a perfect style to wear for a night out as they are very full and add a lot of volume to the eye. I have found with some other brands that claim to be voluminous they can look too full and cover your entire eyelid which isn’t flattering but I find these to be just right.
I like these lashes they are perfect for everyday wear , the style of lash of the wispies really compliment my eye shape and help to add an extra pop to my look if I go out somewhere. I would recommend these as a good starter lash as they are easy to apply and the packs you buy from Superdrug often come with a mini free adhesive. They are also really easy to trim down so you can fit them specifically for your eye .
I like the dipbrow pomade because it makes doing my brows so effortless, it is really easy to use and comes in a wide variety of colours. Ive found using eyebrow pencils in the past to stiff or hard to work with but i find this pomade disperses just the right amount of colour and has a nice texture/consistency. Its not too thick or chunky and is really easy to work through your brows so you can have either a natural or intense look depending on how you choose to use it. Honestly should be a staple in everyones makeup bag! Its such a wonder product.
This is my favourite bronzer, simply because I love the colour of the product and how it blends out on my skin, I have very pale skin and ive found other colours to be too warm for the face or have little micro glitters in or shimmers where I will be walking around in the daytime and literally look like I have been hit with a glitter bomb. I simply apply this on the temples of my forehead and my cheekbones and it gives me a beautifully warm glow throughout the day. I can get away with also using this as my contour shade being that I am so fair and i also find that it does help to define my face. This is perfect for me as I find other bronzers too simply be too warm toned to use on the face.
This product stays put once you apply it and doesn't move around the face or go patchy which is an added bonus.
I received this palette as a birthday present after seeing positive feedback of it online and through the beauty community and I have to say it does not disappoint! You get a beautiful selection of shadows in here for the price point and they are all highly blendable with which you are able to create a stunning variety of warm toned looks. If you are not keen on warm toned colours such as oranges or reds I would avoid this palette and go for something that is still neutral such as the Naked Palettes which have more brownish tones to them. The shadows blend well together - My favourites being Vermer which is the perfect matte cream shade for all over the eye and Raw sienna. The brush that the palette comes with is not one of those cheap brushes that you normally dispose of after you buy a makeup palette it is pretty useful and can be used as it is dual ended and the brush hairs are of a good quality.
Another thing I like about this product is when i first received it I was impressed with the packaging, the writing on the front is embossed with the name of the palette and the Anastasia logo, as well as being in a pink velvety component which feels expensive. It has a magnetic strip at the front so that it is easy to close and open when you use it and overall it is not too big or bulky, its a good weight so its easy to travel around with and carry if this is a factor for you. The only problem I have with the design of this palette is that while the velvet is a nice touch if you leave it on your vanity over time the component does get dirty as you get your grubby hands on it, loose powder and the like which can make it look not so pretty any more. Other than that the shadows are fantastic and I like how versatile this palette is you really have all the day and nighttime looks in here and I use it everyday. Its a go to item.
THIS PRODUCT IS EVERYTHING. If you use makeup and you are yet to try a setting spray I would definitely recommend this one. It locks in your makeup and makes the skin look beautiful for hours and hours. When I go on a night out I always reach for this and like it says in the name my makeup literally stays on all night, even when ive been dancing.
The packaging is sleek matte white and purple design with a purple cap, however sometimes this can be annoying if it sits on your vanity because the bottle gets makeup all over it and your setting spray can end up looking really grubby and dirty and it just looks unpleasant on your dresser. However they've changed the packaging now so it is black and its much more sleek and its a pretty design. Another thing i like about this product is how the setting spray actually mists, it's very fine and doesn't feel like youve got something stuck on your face after you've sprayed it which is what I have experienced with other setting sprays such as the LO'real infallible spray, this one comes out more evenly so all of your face is set. It does not give a 'wet' effect to your makeup either after you apply it which can be drawback for some people.
I like makeup revoloution because of the price point, before I bought more high end makeup I used these all the time and they were my favourites. The colours are very pigmented when you swatch them on your hands, however, I have trouble getting the same sort of pigment when I use my brush and it never appears the same on my face. One problem I have with these is that some of them are powdery and they have a lot of fall out so when you apply them to your cheekbones it honestly looks like you've spilt glitter down one side of your face so you have to be careful with applying them. However, the colour selection is really pretty and for the money I don't think you can go wrong. My favourite is the Pro Illuminate
I love love LOVE this concealer! I normally wear it when I want to conceal my dark circles or want an extra bit of coverage, this is because this is a full coverage concealer and a little goes a long way, you only need a small amount to cover up any problematic areas. I bought this in the shade NC15 as I have a porcelain skin tone and it works perfectly, its a good shade as i normally find with drugstore concealers that the shade is too dark. It blends out really easily under the eyes and doesn't crease up either. One problem I do have however is that the concealer comes out of a small pump and it does not have a dough foot applicator, if you press down the pump too hard you will end up getting out too much concealer and you will not be able to put it back into the jar as you cannot take the lid off at all, which is a little annoying especially when this is one of the more expensive concealers on the market. Except for this i love this concealer and i use it for covering up my acne aswell as under my eyes, its a holy grail must have for me.
