I bounced back and forth between 3-4 stars. I LOVE the coverage. I don't mind the price for the amount of coverage it gives! However, there is something about the formula that drives me insane! I don't know if it's an oil in the base, or what. My face starts to get very oily, pretty quickly, after application. And I do not have an oil problem with my skin! It's just this product. Not only that, but the product I bring down onto my neck- makes my hair texture SO WEIRD. I have never had this problem before with any foundations. I have long hair that goes down my back, and rests against my neck. When the foundation makes contact with my hair, my hair becomes oily, tangled, and just gross feeling. I know that my hair shouldn't be the focus when talking about a foundation, especially one that covers so well, but I will not be repurchasing just for that reason.
People compliment me on this constantly! I love the way it brightens the water line, without making it look WHITE. It's a natural shade. I find it really helps most when you still have dark eyes from your makeup the day before! It removes that "Tired" look.
The only cons, which I totally can deal with, are 1) the price (Best price at Ulta), 2) it runs a bit, if you don't learn how to finesse it. Especially in the corners- both inner and outer. Once it dries, it dries for good. So I just try not to let my eyes water while applying and that helps.
I have to start this review by saying this product will make you break out REALLY BAD at first. It brings absolutely everything to the surface. But once your skin settles down- it glows! It balances out the coloring, tightens pores, controls oil, and not a pimple in sight! I still have blackheads, but that it just a plague I've had for years.
This cream is REALLY thick. I don't have dry eyes, necessarily, so I didn't like how thick this product is. Imagine pudding with oil- that's how it felt. And it doesn't have a nice smell either. Kinda made my eye skin itchy. And if you get it in your eyes- forget about it. I am extra careful with application, and sometimes it still manages to irritate my eyes and make them water for what seems like hours.
This product smells so amazing, and I pour it into my bath maybe twice a week to help moisturize, on top of my body lotion/butter. The only thing is, you really have to clean the tub afterwards, because it turns into a slip and slide! I like that this product is very natural, and I love the back story for the brand.
I remember when Sprite first released it's diet version, and it wasn't nearly as good as the new version! I tried it again for the first time in years a few weeks ago, and the diet version is almost identical to the normal Sprite. Which is great for people like me who love the carbonation, but hate the calories/carbs.
Baja Blast is definitely not my favorite Mountain Dew variation. Tastes like chemicals to me. But I know a lot of people can't get enough of it- and I know that its a hit at Taco Bell. However, I prefer the Code Red flavor of Mountain Dew, if I'm mixing things up.
I have AT LEAST one of these a day. They're very similar to the regular Cherry Coke, which is addictive, but so bad for you! So I opt for this version, even though it tastes less "cherry" flavored... I like that you get the carbonation, the cherry flavor, but none of the calories/carbs.
