I never thought I needed a Conditioning Water for my hair, and now I don't know how I lived without it. I was so impressed with this shower-in-a-bottle that I stuck it in my handbag so I'm never too far from my new BFF. I'm finding new uses for it as well: flyaway tamer, instant shine-booster, hair perfume—did I mention it smells like a botanical garden?
Honestly, if I could give this spray 6 stars, I would. I just want to bathe in it all day, every day.
It's so gentle and so refreshing. And yes, I know what you're thinking, it's just water, right? Not quite, it's full of the brand's thermal spring water (low mineral content, neutral pH, etc.), which is super gentle on skin.
I picked this up when I was going through a particularly stressful month and seeing a lot of breakouts and dry, red skin. This was a lifesaver. It felt amazing on my skin post cleansing, and it really helped keep my skin feeling plump and noticeably less red.
I was a loyal user of this eyeliner for years before taking a break from eye makeup for a while. (Absolutely no rhyme or reason behind this—just one of those things!)
So when I vowed to only use cult classics for a month, I knew this had to make a return. I was instantly reminded why I love this liner. It's so smooth, easy to apply (that tip is gold!), and creates crisp, clean lines.
I can get tight to my lashes and create a perfect cat eye (well as perfect as this non-expert is able to make!) so easily. And Trooper is a true black that I simply love.
Lastly, the staying power is key. It really doesn't budge until you're ready to take it off. To me, that is the sign of a true classic.
Review for: Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm more...
This is a low-key cult classic product that really should get more attention! It is the only thing that has worked for me during the winter.
I used this as a night lip treatment for a month straight and loved how it completely transformed my lips. It's a thick and honey-like formula that it definitely on the heavier side of the balm spectrum, but for someone like me who needs all the help she can get, I found it to be great.
It really formed a protective barrier over my lips and kept moisture locked in and protected all night long. Although I personally found this too heavy for daily wear, I loved it for a night time fix and will continue to keep up my love affair with this product for years to come!
This is another product I've heard people raving about but never actually thought would be good for my minimalist makeup routine. But I must say I was wrong!
It takes up no more time to use than applying eyeshadow and it seriously made me reconsider a few shadows that I previously thought had no-staying power. It has a nice texture that truly does create a great base coat for shadow. I actually even liked the look of it so much that I'd consider wearing it solo—it smoothed out my lids and kept oil at bay. (Yes, oily lids are a thing.)
I was impressed after a month of using this and can say that I totally get why this has a fan following. Only giving it 4 stars because I think the applicator tip can be improved!
I'll start this by saying that I have never really been much of a foundation wearer, but I'm definitely in need of a little something something to fix redness and even things out a bit.
I'm already an IT fan, so I figured that it was about time to check out what the fuss was about for this product—which has some seriously loyal fans.
It's fantastic. The pump applicator is easy to use and the formula itself is light and creates a flawless veil across skin. I use about a pea-sized amount on my whole face and dab it in with a sponge. It looks so natural and you can still see my skin and freckles shining through, but it covers up unevenness and dark or red spots.
And it lasts! I never have to touch up, even before going on camera. I do tend to get a little oily, so I'll apply a little powder to cut shine, but for the most part, I can count on this to keep my skin looking great all day.
I was skeptical to tear myself away from my beloved brow pencil, but I knew I had to test this brow gel for my cult classic challenge. So I used this product everyday straight for 30 days to see if it lived up to the hype. And despite a rocky start, it sure did.
For the first few days, I really didn't notice much of difference. I have dark, thick brows already, but I do have a few bare spots (scars are fun!) that I usually covered with a pencil. I wasn't loving that this gel wasn't taking care of that. But after a week, I got the hang of using the spoolie to shape my brow hairs and go with my natural bushy shape. I even learned to sculpt my hairs so that they covered my scar!
I was pleased with how this product performed for me, and although I can't say I'll replace my pencil with it, I can say that it's a great product. I'm giving it four stars only because it took dedication for me to get the results I wanted!
I was first introduced to this product a few years back, and I haven't looked back since! I knew it would be the perfect product to include in my 30-Day Cult Classic beauty challenge because it's one of those products that has been getting a lot of social media buzz and slowly growing into becoming a cult classic!
And I'm SO glad it is. It's a natural beauty product that performs better than many of my non-natural products. The tiny pot of product lasts forever and wears so nicely on the skin.
When I first started using this, I would tap a little on my cheeks for a touch of glow. But now that I've had it for a while (and used it straight for 30 days!), I've learned so many different ways to use it. I tap it on my lids, under my brows, in the inner corner of my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, on my cupids bow, on my clavicle. I really can find a use for this product anywhere!
This is worthy of a spot on the cult classic shelf for sure!
