My name is Brenda and I am a wife and mother of 2 amazing kids; Braeden 5 years and Addison 3 years. I work full time as an account manager and am working on my certification in Child Life. I love the outdoors and relaxing with a good book.
I was excited to be getting the Herbal Essences Micellar Water & Blue Ginger Shampoo in the Herbal Essences Vox Box as I grew us using Herbal Essences. Reading the description on the bottle this is a good "stripping" shampoo that is made to refresh your scalp and remove buildup or oils and products. This is a little bit of an issue for me as I use colors in my hair that can be stripped by products like this so I had to hold off using this product until I was several weeks past my last dye job and wouldn't be upset if some of my color was stripped by the product.
The scent of this product is very refreshing which is nice as some other products that are similar do not have as nice of a scent. Using this product it went on very nicely and produced a nice clean feeling on my scalp and hair. I don't think I would use it regularly as it did strip out some of my color as expected (I have reds in my hair that come out easily with products like this). I would use it occasionally to clean/refresh my my scalp but not when I have fresh color.
I was so excited to see that I would be getting the new VoxBox from Influenster with the Herbal Essences products! I used Herbal Essences growing up so trying something new from them was something I was very excited to try. I have never tried a foam conditioner before so this was also something I was very excited to try to see how this worked since I have very fine hair and many conditioners weigh down my hair. This looked promising since its foam and might not cause the issues with being so greasy as other conditioners are.
This conditioner was smelled so nice and it went on very smooth. I was surprised at how much is was able to spread over my hair especially since I have hair almost to by butt. It washed out well and didn't leave the greasy feeling afterwards. I felt my hair was clean, soft and conditioned. Throughout the day I also felt my hair didn't get greasy like other conditioners do. The only complaint I have is I have pretty dry hair so I need the extra care and this may not hold up over the long haul. I need to test this a little longer to see how it does especially in the summer months when the AZ heat hits us.
Tide Pureclean did a great job of cleaning our clothes and the smell was fresh and new. The only complaint was my husband didn't like it as much as I did. He didn't like the lavender smell on his clothes so I had to wash my clothes separate from his. I loved the smell as it was different from the typical wash and it got out some of the "stink" that we had from a wash that we left in there too long.
I love that this is for brunettes as most dry shampoos aren't for darker haircolors and showup white and so they look like I dumped baby powder on my hair. I have baby fine hair so I need to wash my hair pretty often to give it volume. This allows me to go several days without washing it.
These are a favorite go to snack in our house. My kids love them as they are a colorful snack so they stand out to them. I love them as they hit the salt craving. I also like them as they are whole grain.
