Review for bareMinerals® MADE-2-FIT Fresh Faced Liquid Foundation - 4 days, 3 hours ago

This foundation was not my cup of tea. For starters, I found the app very difficult to use and it took me several tries to get it to work.

Second, the shade is horrible and does not match me in the slightest. I'm not surprised by how bad the shade match is considering how hard the app was to use. It is way too dark for me, at least two shades, if not three or four, off. That's not the worst part though, because I could maybe get away with it when tanned, but the undertone is awful! I have rosacea and be warned, if you have redness in your skin they will send you a RED foundation. This foundation is so pink it's insane. I have redness on my face, yes, but I have neutral, leaning yellow, undertones. This has been a struggle when getting my foundation matched in stores as well. Wake up world! Redness does NOT EQUAL pink undertones.

Despite the horrible color match, I decided to try this out to see if maybe the formula could be the one redeeming quality- NOPE! It sucks too. This fits right in with Bare Minerals schtick of being natural though, I guess. Because it's very light coverage. It's not full coverage by any means. Not even medium. It was difficult to even tell on my skin, because all it did was emphasize the redness I was trying to cover... ya know... since they sent me a pink foundation.

I was super disappointed in this and I'm so glad I didn't spend any money on it. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

In the photo you can see this foundation compared to three others I own. Top is Too Faced Born This Way in Snow which is slightly too light for me, second is Marc Jacobs Remarcable in Ivory 12 which is slightly too dark for me and then the bare minerals custom foundation, then on the bottom is NARS All Day Luminous in Gobi which is a perfect shade match for me.

Review for Dr. Jart+ Tarot of Masks - 3 months ago

I won't lie, the packaging drew me in. It's so unique and cute!

You also get a great value. I've never tried Dr. Jart face masks before, so this was a great way to try a bunch and see what I like and want to repurchase.

I have sensitive skin and so far have had no issues.

Review for Kao Usa KMS HairStay Working Hairspray - 3 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I really enjoy this hairspray! It doesn't make my hair feel heavy or hard and it has a really nice scent.

I have long, thin hair and live in a humid climate, so I need the extra hairspray to lock things in and prevent frizz and curling. This does a great job!

It's also a HUGE can and the mist is really fine!

I got this hair mask in one of my Vox Boxes in a travel size and loved it so much I went and purchased the full size!

My hair is thin and dry. I've dyed it several times over the last decade and it's taken a toll on my hair.

This smells SO GOOD! It makes my hair softer and shinier and it holds more moisture without being oily. I was worried this would be too heavy for my hair since it is so thin, but I didn't have any issues with it weighing it down!

I use this about 3-5 times a week and I love it. The full size is HUGE and a little goes a long way so it should last me a while.
Review for MAC Little MAC Lipglass - 3 months ago
I LOVE the lipglass from Mac! I got mine in the shade Beaux from Ulta.

I have had bad experiences with glosses in the past, so I was scared to try this but I love the glossy look. This was everything I needed!
It's a beautiful nude color on me. Enough pigment for my lips to not look bare, but it's not opaque. I also love the shimmer in mine.

This isn't at all sticky. It can feel a little heavy on the lips, but that truly doesn't both me.

And it lasts SO LONG for a lip gloss! I sometimes don't even need to reapply throughout the day. It also keeps my lips hydrated. This product made me a lip gloss lover.

I got this half off at Ulta, so I think it was a great deal for me!

I have long, dark brown hair that's really thin and usually pretty dry. I have naturally curly hair, but its also naturally frizzy so I prefer to straighten it on most occasions.

I haven't used hairspray in ages, because I find my hair holds fine on its own. However, about a  year ago I moved to a very humid climate and if I straightened my hair it was be a frizzy, curly mess after a few hours outside. I desperately needed something to fight the frizz and humidity and figured I would try this .

It does a great job! Doesn't get rid of my problems 100%, but definitely improved them. It also has a nice scent, sprays out of the can lightly and doesn't make your hair feel hard or heavy. I think its great for thin hair.

Review for Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection Palette - 3 months ago

I got this despite all the negative reviews of it because I just wanted to see for myself... and nope they were right, it sucks.

Firstly, it really does stink. It's STRONG and it's not a pleasant scent.

Secondly, the colors lack pigmentation, the darker shades look patchy when you blend them out, and some of the shades hard panned weirdly fast and for no apparent reason?

There's truly not a ton of good looks you can get out of this palette. I have so many palettes that are better than this one, I just NEVER reach for it. It doesn't inspire me and it doesn't perform as well as other palettes I have.

The shimmers are nice, but thats the best thing they have going for them.

I've used this maybe 4-5 times since I bought it in July. I can't bring myself to get rid of it because I paid so much for it.

Review for Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette - 3 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I can't help but feel like this palette is slightly overhyped. I bought it expecting my life to be changed, but its truly just another eyeshadow palette.

I picked this up at Ulta during one of their 20% off sales, so at least I got a discount. The packaging is pretty, but not practical. It's velvet so you can't clean it and its light pink so all stains will show up.

Break down of the shades:
-Tempera: useless shade for me. I don't set my eyes with an eyeshadow (I use my setting powder) so it can't be used for that and its the same color as my skin, so it doesn't show up as a brow highlight. If your fair, this shade probably won't have many uses for you.
-Golden Orche: This is just okay. It's a weird color on me. It's too light and orangey to be a transition shade for most of my looks. But its not dark enough for anything else.
-Vemeer: I was extremely underwhelmed with this shade at first, but I began applying it with my fingers or with a wet brush and its much better. This is my most used shade in the palette.
-Buon Fresco: This is my other favorite shade in the palette. I feel like it doesn't get much love, but its a beautiful taupe color on me. It just has a slight gray/purple tone but nothing noticeable on the lids. I use this in my crease often and throw vemeer on the lid for a daytime look.
-Antique Bronze: This is another shade I just don't use. I don't have a use for a dark satin/shimmer shade. Dark colors look bad on me anywhere other than the crease or outer corner and I prefer mattes for those areas.
-Love letter: Not as vibrant as it looks in the pan. You can end up looking like you have pink eye if you don't use it correctly.
-Cypres Umber: I like this shade. Its just a deep brown so theres not much to get wrong here.
Raw Sienna: Ehhh. Just pulls way too orange on my skin tone for my to love it.
Burnt Orange: Another okay shade. Nothing wrong nothing great.
Primavera: This shade is also great. I prefer to use it wet for the best effect, but it still looks pretty good on its own.
Red Ochre: Not a shade I ever reach for.
Venetian Red: Honestly once its blended out this looks the same as love letter. You can get the same look no matter which shade you use. If you use them together, you won't get much depth to your look because you can't tell them apart on the lid. Also more pink than red.
Warm Taupe: A good transition or crease shade for fair skin. Can't complain.
Realgar: I think this is a cool color, it's just one I always forget about and struggle to incorporate into my looks.

I also think these shadows are very powdery.

And the brush that comes with it is TRASH!!! The fluffy side is so scratchy you can literally not use it on your eyes because its painful. The brush is cheaply made in China and it shows. I threw it in the garbage.

Review for tarte Maneater Voluptuous Mascara - 3 months ago

I usually don't have much of a preference for mascara, but I really adore this one.

I prefer a drier formula, because I have sparse, short, stumpy lashes and the heavier wet formulas can clump up upon the first application unless I wipe off a lot of the product.

This worked really well with my lashes. It doesn't clump at all, it layers nicely, it gives them just enough length and volume, but not a ton. I love using this for my every day mascara. Its also the perfect wand size for my lower lashes.

Review for: Snow - Fairest with Rosy Undertones more...
I really like this foundation. It's not my holy grail, but it is one I reach for often.

I got the shade snow and although it says "rosy undertones" I find it to be much more yellow. Which works well for me since I have yellow undertones.

I have very dry skin and a lot of redness. I am always hesitant to try matte foundations because of this and I had heard it was more medium coverage than full, which I also need in a foundation.

It did not let me down! It's matte without being drying or looking dry. It doesn't cling to any dry areas. It dries down completely and doesn't need to be set. It also is pretty full coverage. Depending on how my skin is acting, I apply either 1 or 2 layers. Usually I can get by with one layer and some light spot concealing.

I think this lasts a fairly long time. Despite how dry my skin is, I do get oily RIGHT around my nostrils in the corners of my nose. I didn't have noticeable oil there until about 10 hours in.

Overall I would recommend this foundation!
