Review for: Sol de Janeiro Acai Body Power Cream 8.1 oz/ 240 mL more...
I love the oversized lid. It screws off easily and has a protective piece underneath, which touches the product. The body cream is pink, its thick and it smells like heaven. It goes on really smooth too. It feels light on the skin and doesn’t have an oily or waxy feel to it. Some body creams leave what feels like a residue but not this one. The scent lingers but does not last all day. The moisture and hydration, however, lasts! There is so much product in this container that it is going to last me a while. This lotion has a shimmer in it but it is not anything obvious. I didn’t realize it had anything in it until after weeks of wearing!
I picked mine up when it was on sale at Target so I got it for under $22. I really liked the packaging and the brand looks sophisticated and expensive and sits at a decent price point. This serum requires activation at home so you can be sure that you get the most powerful vitamin C. You put the white cap on and dispense the powder inside. Then shake until all is dissolved and insert the dropper to use. You use this product for 14 days straight to get the best results. You use 3-5 drops each morning and each night. If you go past the 14 days and still have product left you can continue use until it’s gone. It glides over your skin like a lightweight moisturizer and soaks in pretty quickly. It leaves a little bit of a sticky residue on your hands but washes right off. It smells amazing too. I see smoother skin and below my left eye my sun spots have almost disappeared. I would say this has worked great for me.
I was very excited that I saw this cold brew coffee at the grocery store. My husband and I are both coffee lovers so I wanted to get this mainly for him. Something quick that he can just pour into a mug and go. Turns out we both didn’t like this because it was way too sweet. I like to actually taste coffee and not just pure sugar. It was a real let down for me. I loved that it was made with almond milk but I just couldn’t get past how sweet it was. In order to not waste the bottle, I added coffee to it and used this as a creamer. That worked great for me!
I tried the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo in the mint colored bottle but wanted to try this out as well. I will say that I am going back to the mint bottle. The brunette version is a great idea, I like it BUT it gets messy. I spray on my roots, let dry and run my fingers through my hair. The brown colored mist gets all over my fingers and my forehead. I didn’t realize one day but it got on my shirt. It came out but I was just a little surprised. After every use I need to wash my hands to get the color off. I never really found an issue with the traditional white dry shampoo because I always work it into my hair. The scent is still amazing and I love that! The color came out when I was washing my hair in the shower so be careful if you have a white tub or shower, this stuff will get on it. Be sure to rinse immediately after to avoid staining.
I wanted a flexible hairspray because the Kenra hairspray I usually use is such a strong hold. First of all the scent is nice, light and refreshing. This stuff works great! I use it almost every morning for a little extra workable volume. It lets my hair move while still being styled. If I mess with it during the day then I need to re-apply but if I don’t touch my hair it lasts quite a while. It does exactly what it says it does; I can’t ask for more than that.
There are 20 color options which is crazy! I chose the color Bare Linen 03 which is a pretty good match to my skin tone. There is SPF20 in this foundation which is great going into the warmer months. You need to shake before every use and there is a ball inside to help mix, like a paint can. The top screws on tightly and under the cap is a dropper like dispenser. It comes out more liquid than your traditional foundation. It feels weightless and blends out nicely. I found that a kabuki brush just pushes the foundation around so I ended up using a damp beauty sponge and that worked great! It smoothed out my skin tone and helped hide any discoloration. When it dried it felt like powder on my face. I found that it broke up a little on my nose throughout the day but overall it lasted quite a long time and still looked flawless.
I received this product for free to test and review. All opinions are my own. I was excited to receive a hair repair balm because I struggle with damaged hair. I blow dry, straighten and curl my hair almost every day. That certainly takes a tole. There is so much product in this container and it is safe enough to use every day. It's creamy but a little thick. I leave this in my hair for about 3 minutes and then rinse out. It smells really nice and feels a little heavy at first bit once rinsed out it left my hair feeling so incredibly smooth and soft. I don't wash my hair everyday so I use this every 3 days.
$6 and comes in a couple shades. I picked mine up at Target. You can get it at Ulta too but it's more expensive. I don't have full eyebrows which is why I prefer a pencil so I can draw in a little thickness. I wanted to try a tinted gel to see if I could make my morning routine quicker. It does apply easily and quickly but there is almost no pigment in this brow gel. It didn't do anything as far as adding color or thickness. Complete dud for me, don't waste your money. The packaging is too large for this too. There's a lot of wasted packaging for this small, thin brow mascara. Reading reviews on this surprises me that people love it so much. If you have full brows as it is then this might work as a gel to keep them in place but it did not add anything for me.
This mask comes in a pump, just under the cap. It comes out gray and has a fine grain texture to it. I really like this mask because it acts like a facial peel in under a minute. Apply and move around in circular motions for 15 seconds to start. You work up to a minute. I apply this about twice a week in the morning after I wash my face. It's refreshing and cooling. It acts fast and you can feel it working.
This retails for $85 and you can get it at Sephora. It comes out green and smells a little minty and reminds me of the holidays. Once you rub it onto your face it smells like apple cinnamon. Lightly rub into your skin for 30 seconds and let rest for up to 2 minutes. This started tingling on my skin right away which it says is ok but then it started to get hot. I had to wash it off after about a minute. Make sure you rinse thoroughly otherwise there are little granules left behind that continue to exfoliate and irritate once you add any moisturizer. It works really well as an exfoliator but it scared me a little with how intense it felt. I did notice smoother skin in areas that I focused on like my nose and I've only been using this for a couple weeks. You get what you pay for with this!
