I'm a recent university graduate in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC with a love of all things beauty and fashion! I live a pretty active life--I enjoy hiking, playing soccer, and just enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy the world of art; painting, drawing, writing, and just appreciating art! Life is beautiful and I'm here to enjoy it.
I'm a big fan of this hair mask-slash-deep conditioner. I am so happy that it doesn't have any silicones, and it being a Clean Beauty product is helpful too! I have bleached and dyed hair so I'm always trying to keep my hair healthy and happy and this stuff does it.
I'm not a picky person when it comes to things like base coats so most base coats I try work well for me. I do like the Seche Base because it with well alongside Seche Vite. However it has a bit of a shimmery milky tint to it which only meshes well with certain types of polishes that are already shimmery or metallic or are opaque enough to cover the base color. Overall I do like it though, and it dries pretty fast!
I bought this in the shade Cola. I don't recommend this.
I was so excited to find this at Winners (for less than its original price of course) because I've been really interested in trying the Plushies formula. I'll just say I'm glad I didn't spend the full price on it and didn't buy more than one shade because I'm super disappointed.
Let's start with the scent: oh my god. Their website describes it as a "blackberry candy scent" but to me it smells exactly like horrible cherry cough syrup. Absolutely sickening. Honestly the smell is the worst thing for me.
The formula: basically just a watery liquid lipstick. It does not hold up to its claims. I was expecting a soft matte formula similar to sheer matte bullet lipsticks, plus it claims to feel like nothing on your lips and that it won't dry your lips out. It definitely feels like something on your lips, not as harsh as true liquid to matte lipstick but still drying.
The wateryness of the formula means the lipstick is pretty streaky. It claims that only one coat is needed but it's really hard to get it to not look patchy with only one coat.
It's pretty finicky. I made the mistake the first time I wore it of trying to apply two coats right away but that didn't work because the first coat wasn't dry so the second coat got sticky and uncomfortable. You have to let the first coat dry completely if you want to build it up which I guess makes sense given it's a liquid lipstick. But it does claim to be buildable, so it should be.
It also claims that it won't rub off and lots of reviews claim that it lasts all day but for me a simple cup of coffee made it rub off. And by that I mean it totally crumbles off in little flecks which does not look nice.
Some positives: the packaging is nice and the colour Cola is very cute and flattering.
Overall it performs the same as most other liquid lipsticks: if you have the time to apply it carefully and if you don't plan on eating or drinking it looks nice. But that's just not realistic. It doesn't perform to its claims so I think it would be disappointing to most people. And the cherry cough syrup scent is just... unforgivable.
I am a superfan of the Lime Crime hair dye (I'm not kidding, I have a huge stash of it)! These come in two different categories: Tints and Full Coverage. The Tints are much softer and more muted than the full coverage dyes, and they tend to wash out sooner. However the colours have all been spot-on and super easy to use! If I'm careful and use only sulfate-free shampoo, the color stays in my hair for at least a month before fading. The Tints are nice too because if you want to go from vibrant to muted you can start with a Full Coverage dye and once it starts to fade, switch to a Tint in a matching or similar colour!
This stuff is amaaaazing for dry skin. This is definitely one of the best moisturizers I use and it's a keeper in my skincare routine for sure. It's heavy so I typically only use it at night but it does wonders for my dry and sensitive skin.
These are amazing and so much cheaper than the Nexcare brand ones that they sell at drugstores! I use these all the time when I have a pimple, I put it on before I go to bed and it sucks all the pus out (ew, I know) and by the time I wake up the bump is gone and my skin is much less irritated and heals so much faster from there!
I got this in the shade Orange Blossom. This is not a perfect product, but it is quite fun to play around with! The three shades are very glittery and shimmery, and they are easy to apply and blend together with just your fingertips, though most of the pigment stays on your fingertip instead of transferring to your eyelids. Unfortunately, they crease easily when applied without an eyeshadow primer. Also the glitter is quite chunky so can be irritating if it falls in your eye. I like to keep these at my desk at work so I can apply them quickly and easily with just my fingers if I want a little extra shimmer on my lids or if I didn't have time to do my makeup that morning (but I need to keep an eyeshadow primer at my desk too or else these crease in a matter of minutes). Overall it's a fun product!
I've been dealing with pretty dry, chapped, flaky lips for a long time. For me it was always a vicious cycle of having chapped lips, biting the flaky skin on my lips and making it worse, trying to use a sugar scrub to exfoliate which only sort of worked but I'd over-exfoliate causing my lips to be flaky again, etc. etc. So I purchased this Laneige lip mask and the results have been amazing. It has made a super noticeable difference, I am impressed. No more flaky, chapped lips at all; lipstick now sits nicely on my lips instead of showing all the secret flakiness I used to try to exfoliate away. My lips have never looked better, which is a weird sentence to type out, but still. Would repurchase, would recommend. (Also it smells nice, like strawberry candy.)
