A number of brands have made moves to show their support for the LGBTQ community during Pride Month, and the latest to do so is Skittles. Although you might think this feels like a natural fit for a brand who's whole aesthetic is a rainbow, but for the month of June, Skittle has actually dropped the rainbow entirely.
That's right, the candy known for their bright and bold colors has ditched the colors in favor of blank white candies to show support for Pride. The limited-edition bag available in the U.K.—which resembles a coloring book if you ask us—reads, "During Pride, only one rainbow matters. So we've given up ours to show support."
But that's not all. In addition to "taste the rainbow," Skittles also debuted a new slogan "give the rainbow" for this #onerainbow campaign. (Get the full scoop on the U.K. Skittles campaign on their YouTube channel!) But, of course, every campaign is not without a little controversy. Some are questioning Skittles' decision to opt for only white candies.
No matter which side of the debate you fall on, there's one thing we know for sure, this is one candy that's beloved by Influensters. They've reviewed it more than 4,500 times and given it a 4.6-star rating. Now that's impressive.
The new colorless Skittles are available in the U.K. throughout the month of June.
