Summertime Trend: H2O-Infused Beauty Products

ByCaitlin M.

You don't have to hit the beach to work a little H2O into your summer. Thanks to this trendy skincare ingredient, hydration is easier than ever to come by. In gel, cream, serum, and even solid form, water-infused beauty products are hitting beauty shelves everywhere, promising mega-hydration and other beneficial skincare results.

"The goal of using skincare is to replenish what your skin has lost," explains Victoria Tsai, founder of Japanese skincare brand Tatcha. "Different ages and different skin types require different types of replenishment, but all skin needs water. Skin contains over 60 percent water and over time, its ability to hold on to that hydration becomes compromised." We found five products to help give your skin that big gulp of water it needs. Cue the water works, now!

Dr. Jart + Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer, $36 at Sephora

Made for all skin types, this replenishing moisturizer gives skin a big ole dose of water. The formula contains an emulsion system of tiny droplets packed with brightening and hydrating ingredients that burst open when applied. It's even light enough for those with oily skin.

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream, $65 at Sephora

Sunday Riley's formula aims to brighten skin and improve the appearance of dark spots with its signature water-based formula of hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract. This game changer is so good, it received high marks from many Influensters!

MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water, $24 at Sephora

Not only does this toss-and-go cooling stick offer a surge of hydration, but with caffeine as an active ingredient, it provides skin with a boost of energy as well. Use as a primerr before makeup or on top of moisturizer, either way, this is one gel we're adding to our beauty bag stat.

H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment, $36 at Beauty Bar

With water right in the name, there no wonder this treatment delivers mega moisture to skin. A unique liposome delivery system and Sea Mineral Complex help distribute a moisture equivalent of eight glasses of water to skin. Talk about a tall glass of water, indeed!

Tatcha Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel, $68 at Sephora

Water delivers active ingredients such as Japanese wild rose, Japanese dokudami, and leopard lilly to help tighten pores in this editor fave. Our favorite part? The hints of 23-karat gold dust to give skin just a hint of sheen!

Appriya Mineral Complex Serum, $239 at

This serum might carry a bit of higher price tag, but along with it comes a serious skincare punch. The mineral water in Appriya's products contain natural ingredients and biodegradable nano-like particles, which breakup to help ingredients penetrate the skin upon contact.

Which of these products do you want to try?
