Raise your hand if you watched Pretty in Pink on repeat for a period in your life. (No shame if you still do!) For all those moments we secretly wished we had Molly Ringwald's millennial pink wardrobe—before millennial pink was even a thing, mind—we feel like we're finally getting our teenage dreams granted.
Urban Decay had long been teasing their new Backtalk palette, but now we finally have the details we need. And from the looks of it, it's a total pink dream. We already saw the brand's devotion to monochromatic makeup with last summer's Heat Palette, but this time, they're paying tribute to all things pink!
Those true UD fans might know that Backtalk is already a popular pink shade of the brand's Vice lipstick (it's actually the #1-selling Vice lippie!), so now we're getting an entire palette devoted to that pink life. As far as the new palette is concerned, it's actually two palettes in one.
Separated by a detachable mirror, you get four coordinating blushes and highlighters (Cheap Shot, Double Take, Low Key, and Party Foul) on one side and then eight shadow shades (3 Sheets, Bare, Curve, Backtalk, Shade, Attitude, WTF, and 180) on the other! Each of the hues complement each other perfectly, so you can master that monochromatic look without looking like you went a little too crazy with the pink—although we highly doubt there's a thing as too much pink. See the palette swatched below.
Eight eyeshadows on one side, four coordinating shades of blush and highlight on the other, all in a sleek, travel-friendly case. Create your complete, monochromatic look with our #Backtalk palette. 😍 - - Eyeshadow shades, top to bottom: 3 Sheets, Bare, Curve, Backtalk, Shade, Attitude, WTF and 180 Blushes/Highlight shades, top to bottom: Cheap Shot, Double Take, Low Key and Party Foul
As you can see, these shades are ideal for crafting that rouged look. And because there are so many shadow options that blend together flawlessly, you can mix and match and make the powdery pinks to craft dimensional looks that somehow work well with every skin tone.
Now, here's the good news. This palette will be launching super soon: it hits Sephora shelves March 8. But here's the bad news: it's limited edition, meaning it will likely sell out fast. We'll be sure to keep you posted if we learn more details. In the mean time, mark those cals, Influensters. You won't want ot miss the chance to live our your Molly Ringwald dreams.
