70K Reviews: The Top Rated Tarte Products
Tarte Cosmetics is a favorite brand among Influensters and beauty editors alike, which can make it difficult to choose which products to purchase! Here's a roundup of the top-rated tarte products according to Influensters.
Tarte always knocks it out of the park with their packaging and the Tartelette palettes are no different. The packaging is ridiculously cute and the palette is slim, and compact without being fragile/flimsy, it makes an excellent traveling companion. The mirror is a great size and makes application a breeze.
As a palette-junkie, this is right up there with one of my favourites as the shades are all so durable and are easy to use to create a wide range of different looks. The pigmentation is excellent, blendable and had very little fall out. I do my face/foundation steps before my shadow so fall out is my #1 pet peeve and worst enemy in shadows.
'Free spirit' is a great shade to set my MAC paint pot, and 'Super Mom' is great for highlighting inner corners and the brow. It has two great blending shades, force of nature and wanderer. I love to use force of nature on the lid with black liner, such a great one shade look.
As I said at the beginning, this palette is HG for me and I highly recommend it to a beginner, someone who travels a lot or anyone looking to invest in a great work-horse/"do it all" palette.
A few things to note though, the shade range is very minimal, with only 6 colors to choose from (EDIT: Since originally writing this review, Tarte has released more shades!) This concealer also has a strong floral fragrance, which I personally don't mind at all, but for those of you who are sensitive to fragrance, you may want to check out a tester to see if it's something you can handle before purchasing.
First off, the color payoff is terrific! I've posted just the packaging of the eyeshadow with a scale of a standard pen and then I did a swatch review. The top with my finger and the bottom with a brush so you guys can see how it would be actually applied. They all go on smoothly--the two greys are somewhat splotchy but it blends smoothly when adding more.
Second, there are 9 matte finishes and 3 shimmer colors. The first shimmer is more of a rose gold and the second one is a strong copper and the last is a silver/gold! I love how you can do so many looks. There is no true black in here and it may seem like it is more of a pink base palette I would say not necessarily. It has a bit of everything but it is a warm tone palette!!
