I’d consider myself to be obsessed with makeup, or anything girly for that matter, so of course I need something to keep my face makeup on and make it look as smooth and flawless as possible. I’ve tried a few different primers, but usually they are drugstore products, or any cheaper options in general. Although I love buying makeup, I want to make sure that I don’t waste my money on something that I don’t like. I received a sample of the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer and I was thrilled to be able to test out the formula. I have to say that it took me a little bit to truly like this primer, it took more than one or two wears at the least. I have combination skin, meaning that my skin will get oily, but it is dry in some or most areas of my face. The texture was so moisturizing that I didn’t think it would work with my skin, however I slowly became obsessed with it and realized that it actually cooperated with my skin quite nicely. Primer is a crucial part for applying and wearing makeup, so it’s essential to be worn on a regular bases. I don’t find myself using this particular primer everyday, but that’s because I like it so much that I don’t want to use it all too fast. Nevertheless, on days when I want to have my makeup look really nice and feel replenishing on my face, I will reach for this one in a heartbeat. FormulaThis is probably my favorite part about this primer. It’s made with coconut water, which I absolutely love. The product has a lovely and fresh coconut smell, which is something I haven’t experienced from other primers. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t like the smell of coconut, but it’s what makes this product unique in my opinion. The ingredients also include olive oil. These two oils in and of themselves add exquisite moisturizing properties to the formula. I will say that this is not a pore disappearing primer. The ingredients make it moisturizing, as well as replenishing for the skin, but they do not make it appear poreless from what I’ve experienced. Overall I’d say that this formula is perfect for dry skin, and can be good for combination skin. For people with very oily skin, I’d recommend a more mattifying primer. ApplicationThe actual application of this is another great quality that this primer possesses. I love that it is so lightweight, which lets it smooth out onto the face without feeling like there is anything sitting on the face at all. When I apply it to my face I don’t have to use a lot because the formula is almost a watery consistency. This is nice because I am able to make the product go a long way and last fairly long. It spreads out onto my skin in equal proportions, getting into all of the crevices and creases in my face.
