The Official List of Dos & Don'ts for Black Friday

The Official List of Dos & Don'ts for Black Friday

Black Friday is a rollercoaster of emotions. Big savings, long lines, and full tummies all smushed together into a day of non-stop shopping. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or it’s your rookie season, there are some serious unspoken rules when it comes to this major shopping day. If you want to have the most successful Black Friday of your life, you’re going to want to check out Influenster’s Dos and Don’ts for the big day.

DO get excited / DON'T get crazy

It’s simply more fun to shop on Black Friday. Who doesn’t get a rush from saving big? Enjoy your shopping, but keep in mind that if don’t get that last TV at Best Buy, you WILL survive. Don’t let the hype get the best of you.

DO get your game face on / DON'T get too competitive

Stay focused. No one wants to miss out on their favorite product because they were moseying along in another aisle. Have a game plan and stick to it. That being said, those Steve Madden booties are cute, but throwing 'bows to get them is not.

DO carpool / DON'T text and drive

Your family and friends are all together...and very very full.  Nothing says family like squishing as many cousins as possible in Aunt Karen’s van. All of this carpooling fun can easily be ruined if someone decides to text and drive. Plus, who are you kidding: everyone you would be talking to is in the car with you.

DO shop for your little ones / DON'T bring them

This is a perfect time to buy all those over-priced items on your little one's wishlist. WARNING: Black Friday is not the time, nor the place, for a child. The mix of aggressive shoppers, long lines, and crowds is probably not something you want to expose your little angel to.

DO buy gifts for others / DON'T forget to treat yourself too

Black Friday is the perfect time to get presents for everyone in your life. You’ll probably be buying lots of holiday gifts, but don’t forget to treat yourself! You earned it: Black Friday shopping is exhausting.

DO splurge a little / DON'T be reckless

It’s Black Friday: live a little. Buy some things you want, even if it’s not something you necessarily need. Keep it all in perspective though. Black Friday = fun. Maxing out your credit card = not fun.

DO bring snacks / DON'T stain the clothes

Black Friday is a long ordeal. Having snacks in line or the parking lot can change the game. Sadly, you know what else can change the game? Staining that brand new sweater you just bought. Snack responsibly people.

DO use the Influenster app / DON'T forget to look at reviews before you buy

Bring the Influenster app with you everywhere and anywhere you go this Black Friday. It's the perfect tool for quick, on-the-go, educated purchasing decisions. Have a specific question on a product you want to buy? Ask a question! A fellow Influenster could even get back to you before you check out. It's the fastest, easiest way to stay on top of the hottest products and get authentic reviews from only the savviest Black Friday shoppers like you.

So Influensters, who's ready to shop until they drop? We definitely are.
