Jose Cuervo Tequila Gold, a name you'll hear in summer country anthems, along with whiskey and women, is a staple to our summer margarita's and campfires. Mixed with premixed mixers or stand alone the smooth golden beverage leaves your body wrapped in a warm euphoria with each sip. As a non-drinker, and by that I mean less than one drink per year (yes, per year) I find it to be one of the few that doesn't leave a lingering aftertaste of harsh alcohol on your breath like many other tequila's will. It's also less pungent than the clear cinnamon alternative offered. I'm a fan. Give me a salted glass with some Jose and margarita mix and I'm clinking glasses with friends and smiling. It's a nostalgic taste of my younger days, rebelling and drinking like it was the cool thing to do. Nowadays one is good for me, but if I'm going to drink a margarita, it's gotta be as tan as I am in the summer, and Jose Cuervo.
