I use this app everyday. I love that it accumulates all the miles walked/ran as well as the time and individual day stamps. I also love that because it's powered by GPS and Internet, it automatically keeps track of the weather and exactly what pace you were at with either red, orange, or green. It also has some great features for those who wish to train for marathons. If you jog or run daily and would like to keep track of both your steps and calories burned, I would definitely recommend this. Added bonus: You can set it up to play your music as soon as you begin your jog as well as cheer for you when you meet your goal! ...read more

I love, love, love this app. I literally went through about 5-7 different apps, free and paid, trying to find the best one which would track my bike commute each day. Not only did Strava provide me each day with a map of my route, it'd also provide me with vital statistics. If you run or ride the same route everyday you'll eventually be rewarded with "trophies" on certain stretches of road whenever you beat your personal best in that stretch. I also love how you can get full utility out of the free version (no nagware, no crippling of features). ...read more

I started using the free Map My Run app recently for runs and bike rides and am quite impressed with all of the features it has to offer. Don’t let the name fool you, this app is not just for runners. In addition to running, this app can track hundreds of activities including cycling, hiking, swimming, kayaking and dog walking. Yes, dog walking. The app has GPS built in and tracks your calories burned, mileage, pace, average mph and split pace between miles. There is also a route mapping feature that is pretty neat because in addition to showing you mileage, it also displays elevation which can be quite useful if you are unfamiliar with the area you are running. Once you have completed a workout, the app gives you the option to share your workout results to Twitter and or Facebook for bragging rights. Another feature the app offers, one that I have not tried yet, is a food log to help you keep track of what your are eating. This is a pretty solid app, and I highly recommend giving it a try if you are in search of an activity tracker. ...read more

Was looking for a schedule to help me get moving and when I found this App I thought it was the perfect thing! It tells you when to walk and when to run and when you reached your half way mark! It also lets you listen to your music and will say encouraging things along the way! Looking forward to teaching my goal with this! ...read more

My boyfriend got RW subscription as a gift and he gave me all his old magazines when I first started running. It has a ton of good information for runners and athletes of all kinds. It has inspiring stories, food, and fitness tips. But, needless to say, those magazines are still sitting unread in my room. They just weren't enough for me to look forward to reading. It's easier for me to pull up RW website and search for the information I need. ...read more

This is one of the most brilliant examples of fitness app development I've seen. Rather than having you do things on the screen while you're running (which is a sure recipe for falling into a ditch), this app lets you listen to a compelling story and become part of the story. By the time a chapter is finished, you just finished an entire workout, and the result of your workout and the path you've traveled are on your screen. ...read more
