I use Duolingo every day and it really has helped me learn so much! I've been using it for a few years now and by exclusively using this app, I've become quite proficient in Portuguese with significant progress being made in other languages such as Irish Gaelic and French. Although some language courses are better formulated than others, I urge you to give the app a try. I find the teaching style to be quite effective and the ease of use of the app has encouraged to practice far more than any book or more intensive program. as a result, I've now been able to read a couple of books in Brazilian Portuguese and watch a Brazilian show with very minimal use of English subtitles. I highly recommend this app to anyone. As long as you stick with it, I think you will find that you will make progress in learning a new language.

I study languages at school and this app has really helped me. It is easy to use and very useful. There are a lot of exercise and they aren’t boring. There are exercises where you have to listen, repeat or form words with letters, multiple choice answers and fill in spaces. Babbel also uses real dialogues, so you can learn to converse and have a good pronunciation. You can learn a language as you can learn it in school. Very good!

This app is amazing—it does something no other language app does: it lets you listen to Spanish conversations as if you were living in the country (the only real way to become fluent or even conversant in a language) and then provides accompanying tools (a way to slow down the speech, written translations, vocabulary builders) to help train your ear and understanding as you learn. And instead of contrived content, you are listening to current news and stories from the superb RadioAmbulante podcast. I got it for my language-resistant teenage daughter and she loves it—as do I to brush up on my Spanish and keep it current. Just a genius marriage of language learning and A+ journalism. I’d give it six stars if I could. [brand:lupa]

Definitely, an excellent app to learn a new language! It is really easy to learn basic words or phrases, and the option to see how a native speaker pronounce the word or phrase you are studying is really helpful as well, because you can check the accent and how they used it. I also like the fact that the app is really creative. Everyday you practice your little plant will grow, so if you practice a lot you will have a whole garden in there!...also you have one plant per every word, so you can easily see in which one you need to work more or which one you need to improve. I studied french with memrise, and it helped me a lot, so it did that a friend of mine from Belgium who speaks french, told me that my pronunciation was on point to say “Merci, Comment tu t'appelles, etc”. I was beyond excited :)

Great way to meet new people and help each other in a way that everyone benefits. The feature of being able to correct each other’s sentences is very helpful. The feature that you are only allowed 5 translations a day without purchasing the premium is a bit disappointing as that is an essential feature of the app

It’s user friendly! It’s really easy to navigate and perfect for when you have a little downtime! My husband uses it and after a few months he can easily hold a conversion in Spanish with someone. I would recommend 😊

Super easy to use! I mainly used it to learn the basic words and expand my vocabulary. It is a good practice app for when you want a quick practice session on words but not really for grammar and syntax IMO. Overall a good app to start your language learning journey!

Mango was one of the first online platforms I used after graduating college to keep up with my Japanese. It was useful and a breeze to relearn. I was also able to grasp conversational Japanese better than I ever did before. It’s easy, efficient, and can be done to either supplement learning or take it as a full course.

The most simple and basic learning app I’ve came across. While trying to learn Russian to communicate with my boyfriends family Beelinguapp helped me learn at an easy pace. The app helps with simple words to complicated stories. You can take only 30 minutes out of your day to study on the app and will notice results very soon. Highly recommended to anyone who is struggling with a langue and doesn’t have time for in person lessons.

I briefly used Rosetta Stone to learn Conversational Korean with my mom. There were no problems and I felt like this is a well known brand because of it’s ability to get the learning done. I learned a lot in a short amount of time because of the repetition and teaching style of Rosetta Stone in it’s products. It’s efficient and a wonderful product. If I choose to learn another language again, I’ll definitely go back to using Rosetta Stone.
