There was a time when you could have come to my house, opened the cabinet, and found twenty boxes of Nutri-Grain cereal bars inside. I love these little bars, not just because they taste good and they're not overly sweet, but because of the texture! I'm always on the lookout for foods/snacks I can throw in my bag when I'm in a rush and eat on the go, but I simply can't stand the texture of most granola/cereal bars. Discovering this product was amazing. I love how smooth the outside is and how chewy the inside is, and I love that I don't feel like I'm chewing chalk or bark. It's easy to eat and surprisingly filling for such a little thing. I use it as a snack, as dessert, and even as a meal replacement if I don't have the time for a proper meal. It's delicious! And convenient! And did I mention that it has absolutely no high fructose corn syrup?

This tastes just like a big chewy granola bar. The oats have an apple cinnamon flavor giving it much of the sweetness. There is a chocolate chip in almost every bite. I like that it has rice crispies to give it more texture. There is a little bit of chalky dryness, but it doesn't take away from it flavor-wise. The chalkiness lingers a while later. I like that it is made with mostly organic ingredients, but it is still not certified. It keeps me full for a number of hours. It claims to be an energy bar, but not sure how substantial that is since I'm not a regular consumer of those products. This is a good product to keep with you in case you get hungry.

This is now my favorite brand of "healthy" granola bars. I read up on KIND Healthy Grains Bars before I purchased them because a lot of brands claim to be healthy but are really filled with junk. These bars appear to be the real deal and are made from "five super grains" according to their website. KIND claims that each bar comes with one full serving of 100% whole grains. This is because each KIND Healthy Grains bar contains 19-22 grams of whole grains (amaranth, quinoa, millet, buckwheat, and gluten-free oats). This combo is supposed to keep you fuller for longer than the average granola bar.
