5 Hair Ties for Thick Hair: 33K Reviews
Based on 33,311 Influenster Reviews
If you've got thick hair, throwing your hair up into a bun or ponytail isn't quite as easy as it sounds. Hair ties snap, ponytails loosen, and some even force you into choosing if you want your hair tie loose or wayyy too tight. The idea hair tie keep our hair in place without giving us a headache. Too much to ask for? Not according to these Influenster with thick hair, who swear by these top six hair ties to do the job.

These are my absolute favorite hair ties ever!
Since I discovered these a few years back I haven't bought any others.
They are great for thick hair, they don't snap like the others, last forever, are super stretchy, durable, and look super cute like a bracelet. The fact that they don't snag and pull your hair is amazing, you'd think being rubber they would but not at all.
Also funny thing is I was able to fix my washing machine with one of these hair ties!
The rubber band that makes it spin broke, and it was gonna take a few weeks to ship, these looked exactly the same so we gave it a try and it worked! It's been 3 years now and it's still going strong 💪🏻

These are great for my long, thick hair. I often have trouble wearing my hair up as it causes my head a lot of pain and the ties get knotted in my hair. These I can actually wrap around my pony tail THREE while times! Lol. They are stretchy enough to maintain a tight hold without being overbearing and tugging at my head and they seriously don't snag or get caught in my hair when I take them out. They can still cause minor head aches if you haven't worn your hair up in a while but not nearly as bad as others. So far some of the best I've tried. Truly

These are great and I alway try to stock up when they're on sale, especially in the more natural colors. I have extremely thick hair and they do a great job of holding it up without too much of a "hair dent". They do stretch out, but it works out so I can make it wrap around an additional time. I've never had one break either.

When I first saw these online and in stores I was like "yeah, right. My hair would be a terrible tangled mess if I ever used those." but I kept seeing rave reviews. I have very coarse, thick and kink-prone hair so when I first pulled one out of the package it looked like a torture device but I took a deep breath and put it in my hair to run errands all day. It stayed in place and didn't feel tight or uncomfortable at all. I came home and braced myself for removal. I pulled it out and it came out with ease. I couldn't believe it! No tangling. No tugging. Then I looked in the mirror and there was no kink! What is this witchcraft?? It's AMAZING! I love it!
After a few uses I noticed my bobble looking a little bit stretched out. I was thinking "I guess that's why they come with 3 in a package. RIP bobble." but by the next morning it was nice and tight again! I've been using the same one for more than a month now! I've never in my life had an elastic hairband last this long. I'm OBSESSED.

These are my go-to hair ties. I have thick slippery long hair and these hair ties have always worked for me. I would recommend these for people with all hair types. They are easy to use, rarely break, and don’t tug when putting them on or taking them out.
