This dry shampoo is their official one, they have another with a different scent sometimes I believe. They're both basically cornflour with some essential oils and talc. This one smells like lemon lime citrus. It's very refreshing. You can also use their dusting powders, which are corn starch, the exact same way. I like to use the bottle with a light squeeze, and a little pouf will come out onto your head, you can also shake and dust it over your head, or onto a brush to brush in. It's a bit messy...if you miss or squeeze too hard it goes everywhere. The dusting powders work the same but, they are a bit thicker, don't wipe away as easy, leave more white cast, because they are thicker. BUT I prefer the smell. It's more vanilla and less sharp citrus. This one takes a bit more product but blends away easier. I like to use a generous amount, enough to leave a white cast on my hair, at the very start of my routine, concentrated on problem areas as well as under the hair and at the roots. Then I brush it out and shake it away and it will keep hair fairly oil free for most of the day. The large amount at first soaks up the oil from the night, and whatever is left helps for the rest of the day! SIDE HINT: the limited edition glitter body/dusting powders are a great dry shampoo for a night out. I love the pink one because it's one of my fave lush scents!

I cannot rave about this product enough! It is a godsend and has quickly become a staple in my hair products collection! I'm a bit of a dry shampoo junkie, and I've pretty much tried all the brands out there (from Dove & Not Your Mothers to Living Proof and DryBar), and the bumble and bumble pret a powder beats them all! Unlike other dry shampoos which are aerosol cans, this product is applied through shaking (yay environment!) and its equal parts oil absorber, volumizer and style extender. It gives your roots a lift and absorbs hair oil immediately! It never leaves any white or gray streaks. Plus it lasts forever- I've had my bottle for about 5 months and I haven't even used half of it. Definitely worth the money! Also if you're hesitant to splurge on a big bottle, Sephora offers mini, travel sized bottle (0.3 oz) for only $12.00.

This is hands down, the absolute best dry shampoo I've ever used. I have long, thick curly hair, and when I straighten my hair with a flat iron, I've made a 3-4 day commitment to that hairstyle due to the effort involved! To keep my hair non-greasy, I have tried what seems like every dry shampoo imaginable. Drugstore brands, Pureology, Batiste, you name it. But Aveda's Shampure Dry Shampoo will be my forever holy grail dry shampoo. Why? 1. The scent. Come on, Aveda's Shampure scent is perfection. Most dry shampoos are powerfully scented, floral or fruity scents that are overwhelming. Sham pure is grown up, subtle, a lovely herbal smell that is not overpowering. 2. The delivery. At first I was skeptical of the delivery. This bottle uses pressure to actually "poof" the dry powder out of the bottle. It works. No aerosol to propel the shampoo, which is fantastic, as their are no propellants to leave your hair sort of sticky or crunchy. Just dry shampoo to absorb oil where you need it. 3. The ingredients. This is not bottled poison for your hair. This is a simple product that does what it needs to do without a ton of additional ingredients or fragrances. 4. It works. No white cast, and my hair is left looking so fresh!

I have amazingly oily scalp and can't go more than 1 1/2 days before my hair gets oily enough that I have to put it up in a pony tail. I have tried numerous types and brands of dry shampoos and this stuff is the best I have used. It seems expensive at first especially compared to some of the popular drugstore brands, but with OB pronto a little goes a long way. Yes it can leave a white cast as with any white powder but with my brunette hair I don't see much of a difference and what I do see looks more like highlights rather than splotches of white powder. I can't stand the spray versions of dry shampoo because I have had way too many incidents with the nozzle getting clogged and no longer working. I never have that issue with this and the smell is so fresh and not "perfumy" like most dry shampoos. I have a large size and travel and use it everywhere I go. I even have one in the car. Oh and this is great for camping, no worries about the aerosol cans.
