I absolutely love the quality of this lip stain. Its super easy to apply ans stays on forever. Its really important to moisturize your lips but make sure you wipe off any excess product. The stain comes in a felt tip form much like a fibe point sharpie which makes application a breeze because it doubles as a lipliner. On the other end theres a nice moisturizing clear lip balm yhat just seals the color in and adds a bit of a sheen. Its by no means a gloss but it takes away the dry look. If you prefer the more matte look you can skip the balm but i like to use it to refresh the color. I find myself often reaching for this stain over other high end ones. The dark cherry color is gorgeous!

I am pretty sure everyone of us has had this product. It is just like sharpie except with better colors. It stays on SUPER long and shows up well. The problem is if you make a mistake you can't fix it, they aren't kidding when they call it a stain. Also the tip tends to dry out pretty quick, I think mine was done after 7 weeks. This is one of my favorite stains because it isn't a gloss or a lipstick, it is just lip color.

The formula has excellent pigment which is where I’d say it was most like a liquid lipstick of sort. The finish is like a soft shine. The color looks super dark in the tube but applies more like a medium berry shade. The applicator is a little awkward. It is really thick at the end that attaches to the wand, and then comes to a point at the other end. When you first apply it, it feels very thin and watery then kind of dries to a thicker consistency if that makes sense. It does want to bleed at the lipline so it definitely benefits from a lipliner. The color and even the shine finish seems to last for quite a while. The texture is very thick with some creaminess and feels like a melted down lip balm of sorts. It feels quite thick on lips with a hint of a sheen finish but nothing terribly glossy or shiny.I went from wearing them only once a month to every weekend for every Event.

I own the shades Dewy Berry, Rouge Radiance, and Red Orange Wash. When I I first tried it out, I wasn't very impressed with how it turned out on lips since the product was very watery and the color was very light. After some time, I saw it sitting in my makeup drawer and I decided to give it another try. Let me tell you, I am so glad that I did! It has a very unique formula that stains without drying your lips out. Watery tints are popular in Asian cosmetics so I'm glad to see e.l.f. bring some of that innovation to Western cosmetics.

The KEY to the product is in the application. It does take some work to achieve the level of even coverage on your lips. I recommend first applying a thin layer of the product to your lips. Then apply a second layer with small back and forth motions until you see the color build up to your desired shade. It does fade throughout the day as you eat and drink but should last you throughout most of the day. The only downside is that you use up product quickly but for the price, I don't mind at all.
