I have a light, maybe light-medium skin tone, around NC25-30 if I have to compare it to MAC. The Light Bronzer shade still works really nicely for me, although when I'm closer to NC30 in the summer it does get a little too pale (and I will switch to the Bronzer shade). So, the shade selection is very limited and will not work for anyone darker than a medium skin tone, which is really unfortunate.
However, for anyone who has a skin tone light enough / pale people who have been searching for a beautiful and easy to user bronzer, this is great!
When I first used it, I swatched it on the back of my hand and it looked to be around the same shade as my hand. But when I applied it to my face, it really did a good job at giving a natural yet noticeable bronze to the face.
It isn't matte or shimmer; it has a fine sheen and when on the face, there is a really beautiful natural glow to it. I have combination to oily skin and this does not accentuate any oiliness at all.
The smell of the product is pretty strong; I like it, but if you don't like it you will find this product hard to use.
Overall, I really like this product (as you can probably tell by my purchasing a second one before I've even finished the first)!
I’m not really a fan of duos in a single pan, but somehow, this worked. I used a stippling brush and applied the bronzer part to the hollows of my cheek. While sweeping my brush back and forth on the duo pan, I also made sure to get some highlighter on the edge of my brush. This created such a gorgeous blended out glowy look on my cheeks.
The shimmer from the highlighter combined with the bronzer gave me an effortlessly contoured and sculpted effect. It’s kind of like the whole “no makeup” makeup look, but this is more like the “no contour” contour look, if you catch my drift. haha
