The Best Bourbons to Mix with Eggnog

Based on 156,998 Influenster Reviews

We have a little riddle for you: This type of alcohol is a whiskey, but all whiskeys are not necessarily this type of alcohol. Can you guess what it is?

It’s bourbon! Bourbons are a type of American whiskey made primarily from corn.

They can be poured over ice, over ice with a splash of coke, in a mixed cocktail, or consumed straight up if you want a little hair on your chest. However you drink your bourbon, you should be drinking the best kind.

Let us know in the comments how you drink your bourbon. Cheers.

Beautiful bourbon. Ah, this is perfect for someone who likes a sweeter bourbon with a smooth finish. My favorite is drinking this on the rocks or a nice old fashioned with not too much Demerara. If you drink bulleit, you'll love this. It's a step up and you won't regret it.

I am a Jim Beam kinda girl, I was amazed how much I liked the Jim Beam Honey. The smooth taste of the bourbon with a background flavor of honey made this very enjoyable to drink! I would high recommend this to anyone who enjoys bourbon and want to mix it up with the flavor profile.

The BEST bourbon for mixed drinks, especially Mint Juleps and Bourbon and Ginger Ales. This bourbon has a smooth finish and has quickly replaced all other bourbons and whiskers in my liquor cabinet.

I had this at a bar in 2015. What a knock out bourbon. This is what bourbon whiskey should be all about!

I'm originally from Kentucky and that being said, LOVE BOURBON. Mixed, straight or on the rocks. It's an acquired taste and I can't say that I've always loved it, but I've gotten to where I really enjoy it. It's a little bit of home in a glass. Knob Creek is one of my favorites.

This is our go-to, well priced, bourbon. We always have this in the house, either to drink straight or for mixed drinks. It's smooth and easy to drink with that perfect warming feeling on the throat. Something wonderful, that they have been doing recently, is partnering up with local liquor stores to offer a one-of-a-kind barrel of bourbon. The liquor store gets to choose a barrel of their choice, based on flavor and uniquness, which is then bottled and sent to them. Which means each liquor store that participates, gets a unique to them barrel that no one else has. We've already picked up two bottles from two of our local liquor stores so we can have a tasting. Also, if you're ever in the Bourbon Trail area of Kentucky a stop over at the Buffalo Trace Distillery is a must! The campus itself is beautiful and full of history. Everyone there is kind, welcoming and helpful. Plus the samples at the end of the tour are a lovely and tasty touch!

I live in Cincinnati, but do a lot of frolicking across the Ohio River in Kentucky (my husband is a Kentucky Colonel!) We lovingly call Maker's Kentucky's answer to the rest of the South's sweet tea. Would I buy it again? You bet! It makes a fine cocktail. (Did you know that an Old Fashion is a tarted up version of the very old Bourbon Punch?) And it is de riguer in Juleps. But I think it is best in a double old fashion glass with a big hunk of ice to open the flavors up. If you are ever in Loretto, KY, try to take a tour of the distillery. It is a gorgeous site and for those of age, it ends with a tasting.
