The cord retraction is strong--be sure to keep your fingers on the cord as it enters so it doesn't twist, and watch out for the plug, which can flip up rather energetically.
The folding handle is fine--I don't need to fold it to fit it into my over-the-cabinet-door holder, so I don't usually use it--but I think it will be convenient in the long run.
I'm pleased with how quickly this dries my hair. The air filter on the back has an improved design that I think will help me keep it clean more easily.
On the left side you have HOT, WARM, and COOL, and on the right are LOW, OFF, and HIGH. Having the two sliders next to each other is kind of a pain until you get used to it and can remember which side does which.
This hairdryer is a good value and I expect it to last me for at least the next couple years.
Have you ever left your hair in a towel until it was completely dry? That is how your hair will feel when you use this dryer, only it will take a much shorter amount of time. And be styled the way you want it to be!
I've found that this dryer does dry faster, and leaves my hair softer and shinier and fuller than my old conair.
I've got long thin hair, so thin that it NEVER keeps a curl, or the body and fullness that is there when you first dry it. This dryer allows my hair to keep body and fullness throughout the day.
I'm not sure about other ionic dryers, but this one has a switch to turn off the ionic feature if you'd like - although I can't imagine why.
I would highly recommend this hair dryer......
