The Nike plus app is accurate and lets you do split timing and use your own music to help motivate you when you are slowing down. Nike calls this the power song. At first I thought this was a rather useless feature but it actually does help. If you are new to the sport of running you can select your goals and it will send daily training sessions which you can follow to help you achieve your goal. Overall the nike app is top notch. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into the sport of running.

I wanted something to keep me accountable, which it did. I would log everything I'd put into my mouth, which was great because I was losing weight and it is so easy to use because you can easily scan a product and find the calories. I used the free version (there actually wasn't even a paid version when I started). The message boards were always very encouraging. I must admit, I abused the app by setting my goal lower than the app would allow. I've since moved away but I've learned so many valuable tools from MFP and I will still track a day or two every now and again to make sure I'm keeping on the right track.

I love blogilates, I have watched cassie for a couple of months now and it's amazing how much weight I have lost. At first I was not a huge fan of working out at home but honestly it's a lot more efficient than going to a gym. That's just my opinion. There isn't much need to go out to buy any type of equipment except maybe a yoga mat to do the exercises more comfortably on the floor. She is extremely great and motivational through out her videos. I would definitely recommend following her blog . She post lots of helpful stuff like monthly workout calendar ( which I have printed out) and a lot of diet plans. :)

I have been using this app to track my food intake, water consumption and exercise for 4 months now. It has really made me become more responsible for what I eat, and how little I was exercising. It helped me really question if what I was eating was beneficial, and make healthier choices because of that. Since there are so many foods in the database, it really takes the work of having to log calories, but it also tracks other things such as how many carbs or grams of protein you're consuming. I also like how you earn badges, while it's may seem silly, it's a good little reminder of how well you're doing. Also enjoy the challenges because sometimes a little competition is encouraging towards the weight loss, because I want to win.
