Target Releases Low-Cal Ice Cream for Summer Snacking
FYI mini donuts are involved...
Although ice cream is fairly synonymous with summer, it's also fairly synonymous with splurging. When you think of indulging in the creamy treat, often times words like "healthy" and "low-cal" are often tossed out the window. But no longer does this necessarily have to be the case. Those Influensters with a major sweet tooth may already well-versed on the low-cal options available in the freezer aisle. But get ready, there's about to be another tasty contender hitting the frozen food aisle at Target.
Archer Farms (Target's in-house brand) just dropped a series of Light Ice Cream Pints. The new launch boasts some serious alternatives to traditional ice cream. These creamy pints come in at less than 400 calories per pint (340 to 380 to be exact). And although we're not saying you should eat a pint solo, we're also not saying you shouldn't. But that's not all, when it comes to other important nutritional info, each pint comes in at between 20 and 22 grams of protein. What's more, on average, these pints are about 65% less fat than regular ice cream.
And of course, how could we forget the flavor options? There are six new flavors of the Light Ice Cream Pints: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Pecan Pie, Cookie Dough, Caramel Maple Bourbon Pecan, Mini Donut, Mint Cookies & Cream. Is your stomach growling yet?
You can shop these new pints right now for $3.69 at Target. And might we suggest stocking up before our personal favorite holiday—National Ice Cream day on July 15.
