Well, we don't think we've ever been more ready to toast to a new year than now! While 2020 wasn't all bad, it was most definitely not easy — on mental, emotional and physical levels. Which is why we are ready to ring in 2021 on a positive note.

We decided to turn up the average glass of champagne with simple, yet super fun, toppers that'll make your glass of bubbly all the more festive.

I Want Candy

Ready for a sweet start to the new year? Try topping your champs with a dollop of cotton candy or toss in a rock candy stirrer. We think sprinkling in an Influenster fan favorite like Haribo Gummy Bears could also make for a nice treat. Once your glass is finished, you'll have some sparkling soaked gummies to enjoy.

All That Glitters is Gold

As if a glass of champagne wasn't glam enough, we say be extra with a rim of edible gold glitter or sprinkle in a few edible gold flakes to really make your new year's toast sparkle. And really go for the gold with a fancy pair of flutes like the Lismore Essence set from Waterford. Fun fact: Waterford is the maker of the Times Square Ball that drops after the countdown on New Year's Eve.

Berry and Bright

Not ready to say goodbye to the holidays just yet? Toss in a few pomegranate seeds and a rosemary sprig to lean into the merriness of the season. Or just keep it classy with a few frozen berries.

Influenster Says Relax

This year has been stressful, so toasting with a sprig of lavender added to your glass sounds like the perfect topper to us. Better yet? Enjoying that glass of bubbly in a lavender bubble bath of your own.

Not sure what bottle of sparkling wine to get? Check out the top-rated bottles loved by fellow Influensters!

Cheers to a New Year and New Beginnings! Let us know how you'll be topping your champagne this New Year's Eve and post any of your at-home holiday cocktails in our #HappyHour Gallery.
