Shiseido's New Makeup Collection is Reimagining Beauty
Find out ALL the details, including 4 unique looks to try on your own!
Shiseido recently launched their new makeup collection and it is everything. A pioneer in the beauty and cosmetics space, Shiseido is redefining beauty through four innovative textures: gels, inks, powders, and dews. The collection— inspired by Japanese art and culture— includes 18 new products in 114 different shades crafted to enhance your eyes, lips, and face. With lasting colors that pop and textures that feel virtually weightless, this creative beauty collection is both minimalistic and expressive.
Shiseido is celebrating the launch of their makeup collection this September with an interactive pop-up experience at the Japanese Beauty Gallery in New York City. The four different textures will be brought to life through four unique room experiences that will activate all of your senses. You’ll even have the chance to explore, test, and play with Shiseido’s new makeup line (yay!).
BEAUTY REIMAGINED IN FOUR DIFFERENT LOOKS...
Shiseido’s new line is all about redefining beauty through self expression. Inspired by Shiseido’s four unique textures, we tested out products from each texture and recreated our own makeup looks. Check out the looks below!
THE LOOK: Turn Up the Glow
Shiseido products used: Aura Dew Pot in Solar 02
Pro tip to achieve this look: Use your fingers to apply the product on your cheeks, eyelids, and lips. Pad the product on for a super pigmented look (don’t rub it in!).
THE LOOK: Always Blushing
Pro tip to achieve this look: Use the “two finger trick” when applying powder blush. Gently press two fingers adjacent to your nose and apply the blush from that point outward towards the edge of your cheekbone.
THE LOOK: Dreamy Gel
Shiseido products used: VisionAiry Gel Lipstick in Bullet Train 202
Pro tip to achieve this look: Use a big lip brush to apply the lipstick, then go over your lips with the original lipstick applicator for extra pigment.
THE LOOK: Make a Statement
Pro tip to achieve this look: Always draw a cat eye from the inside out. The wing should measure one third past your outer eye corner to your hairline.
