The beauty world has made pretty large leaps when it comes to being more inclusive. And, although there's always more work to do, the options for shade ranges have expanded immensely. And now, we're even seeing entire brands geared toward the idea of expanding the way we think of color cosmetics. One brand that exclusively hit Ulta shelves earlier this month not only has the mission of doing just that, but it also has the name to back it up. Flesh is a brand new prestige beauty brand from drugstore favorite, Revlon, that speaks to the fact that "flesh" is not a one-size-fits-all matter.
In addition to living under the Revlon umbrella, Flesh has tapped another pretty big name in the beauty biz: legendary Allure founder and editor, Linda Wells. In a recent interview with the magazine that she launched, Wells says her new brand wants to change the idea that "flesh" is a generic "peachy beige" color and in creating Flesh, she wants to "change the whole color assortment of flesh."
And it would seem as if she's holding nothing back with this conversation change! There are 12 new products and 96 SKUs available in the new line, culminating with the star of the show, a foundation stick that comes in 40 shades. But that's not all. There are a number of other color cosmetics—ranging from lip colors to cheek colors—in the line.
