Dry Shampoo is the Latest Product to Get the Micellar Treatment
Did you really think micellar water was going anywhere?
After making its way to the skincare aisle, the European cleansing and makeup-up-removing favorite took its power in the most unlikely direction: hair. The same micelle technology that breaks down oil, makeup, and buildup on skin, tackled some serious hair woes caused from product use, working out, and just general day-to-day life.
The new Spiritualized Dry Shampoo Mist ($28) is unlike your standard dry shampoo. No chalky powder or aerosol spray here. This is a fine mist, much like your favorite beach spray or shine spray. But, similarly to your fave second-day hair saver, it still boasts between-washes cleansing power. In fact, there's actually cleansing powder suspended in the mist.
To activate, shake up the formula (you'll notice it becomes a little milky once you shake!), and spray into sections of hair. Hold the pump about six inches away from the roots and massage into the scalp after 30 seconds. This activates the micelles to get going! The result is not only a more refreshed feeling, but also a more soothed scalp. We've put the new mist to the test and can attest to it's mystical properties!
There's zero residue, no chalky feeling, and it leaves hair feeling soft and touchable. Worried about any sticky or tacky feeling? Not here. It's surprisingly lightweight, and what's more, it's actually conditioning for hair. We noticed it leaving a softer, more touchable sheen. (You can thank Castor Oil for those humectant properties.) And, we're loving the fresh scent it has (bergamot, wild fig, cyclamen, lotus lower, cedarwood, and tonka beans), which make it almost more of a hair fragrance than product!
If this is any indication of the micellar goodness to come, we are so here for it.
R+Co Spiritualized Dry Shampoo mist is out now for $28 at randco.com.
