Pantone 2021 Colors of the Year For Your Everyday Life
Sunny hues and cool, calm and collected tones for our everyday lives
2016 was the first time Pantone ever selected two colors, as opposed to one, to be its annual color of the year. Five years later, the Color Institute has done it again naming Ultimate Gray and Illuminating as the 2021 Color of the Year. Now, when we first learned that a yellow tone was selected, we had a major Cher “as if!” moment—but hang on, there’s a lot more that meets the eye. The combination of the two tones perfectly blend to represent a global reality: a world with a bleak past and a bright and hopeful future ahead.
The unveiling has set the tone for an uplifting and optimistic path forward, but Pantone’s Color of the Year serves another purpose: setting the tone for consumer products that we’ll be seeing for years to come. From your home to your wardrobe, it’s time to get excited about the future with these bright yellow and cool, calm, and collected gray products, inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year!
