The only thing less glamorous than dandruff is having to peruse the hair aisle in attempt to find a solution to your flaky scalp problem. Admittedly, anti-dandruff products aren't always the sexiest hair products to buy. And often times, they can err on the side of overly clinical. But that might just be changing thanks to the hair masters over at Oribe.
You might know Oribe as the brand you turn to for those total treat yourself hair moments. And it has the goods to back it up! Their Dry Texturizing Spray is the top rated texturizing spray on Influenster and is a total cult classic in its own right! But now you can treat yourself and actually solve one of the most embarrassing and truthfully annoying undiscussed hair issues: dandruff.
The new Oribe Serene Scalp collection tackles the root (hair joke alert!) of the dandruff problem: the scalp. The new collection contains the Serene Scalp Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, Balancing Conditioner, and Soothing Leave-On Treatment to help balance out and soothe a dry scalp.
To tackle unwanted flakes, the collection starts with the anti-dandruff shampoo, which is formulated with salicylic acid to (a known exfoliator) to cleanse hair and treat the irritated area. This helps calm dry, itchy skin and even ease redness that can come from scratching and flaky skin. Follow up with the conditioner, which is formulated with a long list of nourishing ingredients (acacia tree extract, shea butter, panthenol, biotin, and quinoa—just to name a few) that not only help loosen flakes away, but also smooth out strands.
Lastly, there's even a leave-in treatment. Think of this as your quick-fix savior when you send out that dandruff SOS. On either dry or wet hair, simply massage the leave-in on the irritated, flaky part of your scalp to immediately get some relief. (It's even great after hair coloring or treatment when the scalp is extra sensitive.) Because it's formulated with BHAs, it helps to removes loose dandruff flakes. But thanks to ingredients like chamomile, willowherb extract, aloe, and peppermint oil, you get a cooling and relieving sensation to help calm overly dry skin.
Although these products still pack that splurge punch (and delectable Oribe scent!), they're a bit of a splurge at $44 for the shampoo, $46 for the conditioner, and $48 for the treatment. But if they combine the power of treatments with a bit of Oribe luxury, we might just find ourselves converted!
