Coffee lovers, your fave fast food joint, McDonald's, is testing three new coffee drinks in the Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto area of Northern California! Yep, that's right! Not one, not two, but three new espresso-based creations will be added to the menu and we're already getting the jitters just thinking about it.
Word on the street is that a Caramel Macchiato, French Vanilla Cappuccino, and Americano will be additional caffeinated items. The Caramel Macchiato features espresso and caramel-flavored syrup, layered with steamed milk and topped with a caramel drizzle. You can order it hot or iced! Then, the French Vanilla Cappuccino is made with espresso, steamed milk, and vanilla-flavored syrup, and topped with a layer of foam. Then there's the Americano, which consists of espresso and hot water. Feeling energized yet? We sure are.
If you're a coffee lover in California, you're in luck! During the week of March 20 to 26, restaurants participating in the test will be offering a small cup of any of the new drinks for $1 each. For those of us not so lucky to live on the west coast, we'll just have to cross our fingers the java bevs will expand nationwide.
Until then, comment your all-time favorite thing on the McDonald's menu below!
