Makeup Tricks for Flawless Photos

When it comes to everyday makeup, less is more. But when you’re trying to capture the perfect picture, there’s a way to prep for the camera! Use these makeup tips for a flawless finish on and off camera!

Here are seven easy steps to making your makeup look camera-ready:

1. Use a full coverage foundation and concealer

It’s okay to put on a little more than normal! Behind the camera it will look like your skin is blemish-free. For a smooth application don’t forget to use a primer, as well!

2. Contour using both blush and bronzer

Your forehead and nose should be the brightest part of your face! Make sure to apply the bronzer under your cheek bones, whereas the blush can me dabbed onto the side of the cheek.

3. Shade your eyes using different tones of eyeshadow

Find a dark, medium, and light shadow that work for you. Use the dark to contour the eyelid, then have the light illuminate the curve of your eyelid.

4. Line and color your lips. 

Now is the perfect time to test over lining your lips out! It will look more natural on camera, we promise. Also, it helps to apply the lipstick with a lip brush for a precise application.

5. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to add volume. 

If your lashes are naturally curly you can skip using the curler, but the mascara is a must to finish the look! A little mascara goes a long way when it comes to being photo-ready!

6. Add some color to your brows. 

Add some color to your brows. Make sure to do so from a normal distance from the mirror, so you have a full perspective of how dark they are and how much you are filling them. Use a brow pencil to lightly fill them and a gel to set them.

7. Illuminate under your eyes to finish the look. 

Swipe in on in a triangle under your eyes, and dab lightly with your ring finger. Then make sure to blend it down into your cheeks and above your cheek bone.
