Did we call it, or did we call it? Prismatic beauty is the new unicorn makeup. And we're all about it. The new take on metals is a blend of the holographic and glitter trends we know and love, just with a bit of a softer, iridescent touch! And although there have been some fantastic launches to help get us to that ultimate prismatic shine (Kevyn Aucoin Prismagic Highlighting Trio and BITE Prismatic Pearl Multistick, we're looking at you!), we spotted another new launch we think can take this look up a notch.
Meet the new Make Up For Ever Star Lit Glitter Palette—a six-shade glimmering palette set to launch February 8 at Sephora and MUFE stores. We first spotted this new palette on a couple Instagram teasers from MUFE. If you're a die hard fan of the brand, you likely already know the brand's other Star Lit products—the Star Lit Powder and Star Lit Liquid highlighter—that are wonders at helping master that ethereal sheen. But the new Glitter Palette looks like it's taking both of these shimmering products and upping the ante.
According to @trendmood1, the limited-edition palette will contains six creamy shadows with finely milled glitter that boasts zero fall out. And each shade can stand alone or be used to layer over another color. As far as the actual shades, they range from rich pinks and purples to more subtle pearls and champagnes. To be specific, there's: Reflection (an ivory with pink glitter), Prism (cranberry shadow with teal glitter), Spark (champagne and gold glitter), Flame (bronzed shadow with gold glitter), Flicker (a clay base with subtle pink glitter flecks), and lastly, Beam (a rich mauve with blue and purple glitter).
See what we mean about being a glittering dream? Although the pigment is pretty rich and glistening when swatched, from the looks of it, it can certainly be toned down for a more subtle touch if that's more your style. Case in point: that swipe of Prism, which blends a blushing cranberry and cool glitter. See below!
Love what you're seeing? Set those alarms, Influensters. The MUFE Star Lit Glitter Palette hits Sephora, Sephora.com, and MUFE stores tomorrow—just in time for the weekend.
