Livestream Recap: The Great FryDay Dipping Debate

Happy Fry-day, we’re TOTS excited to share this week's recap!

Potato puns aside, thanks to everyone who tuned in to our lunchtime LIVE. And in case you missed it, we built a Tater Tot board and sampled all of the different dipping sauces Influensters have recommendedincluding a few from our latest VoxBoxes.

Working our way down from the top we have Ken’s Thousand Island dressing—which is the closest I can get to Big Mac style sauce from home. It’s also a great option for people who like to mix Ketchup, Mayo, and pickles together.

Next up, I tried dipping a fry into a milkshake (or imitation Frosty in this case) for the very first time. Having only seen someone do it in Mr. Deeds, I was a little nervous, but all of our commenters insisted that it was worth the try. And they were absolutely right. If you’re a fan of dipping your fries in something sweet, this is 100% the move.

Then I tried  two different salad dressing from the Bitten line—the Creamy Lime Avocado and the Creamy Lemon Poppy Seed. Now that I’ve tried both, I’m really excited to pop these on top of a salad. The genuine zest of the real fruit ingredients really comes through. I love a pop (or hint) of lime, so I’m probably going to be revisiting that pretty soon. Were you one of the Influensters who received these in a Bitten VoxBox? Let us know what you thought by sounding off in the comments below.

Following those tasty dipping options, I tried some more superstar VoxBox dressings. We had two different flavors to try from Twisted Ranch. First up: the Cheddar Popped Jalapeno, which was delicious and had just the right amount of spice. And then I tried the Garlic Smashed Buffalo. I have to say, I’m not a big fan of Buffalo normally, but this may have single handedly made me a convert.

Last, but certainly not least, was the HoneyRacha that Influensters have been buzzing up all summer and my old reliable: Heinz Ketchup. I know a lot of you have tried the HoneyRacha from our VoxBox program, and I have some coworkers who are devoted to it. It was spicy for me (I am a baby!), but really tasty. The consistency was also exactly like real honey, which makes sense, since honey is one of the main ingredients, alongside Sriracha. I liked it, but unlike a lot of our commenters, who decided that Ranch dressing was their ultimate Tot dipping companion, I think my favorite is always going to be the classic ketchup!

What are you dipping your fries in? Let us know in the comments below, and join us Fridays at 1:30 PM EST for our on-app livestream! Missed this week's livestream in the Influenster app? Watch it here.
