Livestream Recap: Your Fall Skincare Routine Must-Haves
We can never get enough of skincare
As the weather gets colder, and we switch from iced coffee to hot cider, it’s an important time to talk about transitioning your skincare routine, and today on the livestream we talked about exactly that.
Here's some of the products we chatted about:
Cleansers: In the fall, I like to switch to a more gentle cleanser. It’s the perfect time to try an oil cleanser, or change it up and switch to something that won’t be too harsh on your skin, which can strip it and dry it out. I like two tatcha cleansers: The Deep Cleanse, and The Camellia Cleansing Oil and this Clean Bee Ultra Gentle cleanser from Farmacy. I also checked out this super gentle, foaming cleanser from Cerave, after it’s Influenster Reviewers’ Choice Award win.
Moisturizer: I love a thicker moisturizer in the winter. In the summer I’m all about a face spray, or maybe even just a good SPF, but in the fall and winter I gravitate towards almost old fashioned cream products. My favorites are Charlotte Tilbury’s magic cream and Glossier’s priming moisturizer rich. I also checked out the Influenster Award Winner, Drunk Elephant’s Protini™ Polypeptide Cream which is packed with anti aging ingredients to stimulate collagen production.
Exfoliation: I am a big fan of exfoliating year round, but in the fall, I feel like it’s extra important to get those dead cells out of here. I shared my go-to, my DermaFlash, which is also great for hair removal, and we also looked at two Influenster Award winners: Farmacy Honeymoon Glow and Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Baby Facial. I have tried both of them, and have a lot of thoughts about the experience, both are packed with AHAs and BHAs and are really intense in a good way.
Masks: Now is the time to get your hydration on. In addition to this super effective Dr. Jart+ Hydration Lover Rubber Mask, I’ve been trying the ultra nourishing Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. I usually like a good clay mask to extract, but I’ve been trying to give my skin a rest.
