If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we’re capable of getting a lot done on our own. Think, DIY waxing, a couple at-home trims, and even figuring out how to give ourselves gel manis. However, if you’re anything like me, your skin doesn’t stay the same year-round, and in the height of winter, dry skin becomes all too real. There are some things a good hydrating serum and face mask can solve and other things you just got to leave to the professionals… and when it comes to repairing damaged, dry, and chapped skin, Stella Bakow at La Beau Te Modern Med Spa located in Chicago knows what she’s doing. Stella gave me an inside look at her recommended treatments, winter beauty faves, and how her Med Spa is operating during COVID. Take a look: What’s your recommended treatment to combat dry skin?I always recommend that my clients opt for the HydraFacial! This thirty-minute treatment cleanses, extracts, and repairs the skin to give the complexion an overall glow, minimize fine lines and discoloration, and add hydration back into the skin. (See the process in the video below.) How are you practicing Covid safety to keep your employees, your clients, and yourself safe? All staff, including myself, took a COVID training course prior to reopening and are certified to practice during this time. We do temperature checks before our employees’ scheduled shifts, and the facility is sanitized every day and after every session. Face masks are required for all staff and patients, and we limit the number of appointments a day to minimize the amount of people in the med spa! It’s a difficult time, but we do our best to make everyone feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
