This Frosé Sorbet Will Have You Dreaming of Rooftop Season
Frosé, can you hear me?
We won't lie to you and say summer is coming up soon. You'll have to sit tight for a few more months for that! In the mean time, dreaming of warmer days and rooftop season is getting much easier—and tastier—thanks to a brand new frosé-flavored sorbet.
For those who don't know, frosé is the deliciously frozen version of your beloved rosé. And when the temps are climbing, nothing sounds sweeter than a crisp, frozen version of the pink bubbly drink, are we right?! And thanks to the confectionary geniuses over at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, we now can enjoy a pint of Frosé Sorbet!
The new boozy pint flavor is actually a sangria-style frozen treat that contains real rosé from Peregrine Ranch in Sonoma Valley. To give it the fruit flavor of a sorbet, there are notes of pear, strawberry, and watermelon. It's actually touted as: "Refreshing and bright with a tinge of tartness." But what we're hearing is rosé, rosé, rosé.
Because the new flavor is a bit dry and crisp, Jeni's says it's great paired with sparkling wine, a shot of tequila (bold!), or more rosé. However, we're eyeing this pint solo for a sweet treat on a night in. And as if the flavor and millennial pink coloring weren't enough to seal the deal, in case there's not a pint available at a grocer near you, you can actually get a pint delivered directly to your door. (Yep, it's available online for $12.)
Ah rooftop season, we're ready for you with open arms and a pint of rosé.
