With autumn in full swing, the leaves are changing and so is our style. As we switch from short sleeves to sweaters, we need a warm and woody scent to accompany our cozier clothes. This is why when we first heard about Jason Wu’s first ever fragrance, we knew we had to try it.
THE NEW FRAGRANCE
For his first fragrance, the fashion designer collaborated with Frank Voelkl, the nose behind many bestselling scents. The perfume is glamorous and sophisticated, consisting of top notes of pink pepper and fig and a base note of silky musk. The key ingredient in this fragrance is jasmine sambac, which was inspired by Jason’s childhood in Taiwan. It is handpicked in India at only a select period of time to get the ingredients full effects. Nostalgia never goes out of style, and these jasmine flowers give this fragrance a classic floral touch.
WHAT DID WE THINK?
We gave out a few samples at the office and everyone who tried it agreed: It smells lovely. It’s not too heavy and complements sweater weather perfectly. The fragrance comes in a variety of sizes, but our Influenster members are testing out the rollerball. Rollerball perfumes are great for on-the-go ladies like us because you can fit them in our purse and touch-up our scent anytime.
