Lauren Conrad's BFF and hairstylist Kristin Ess shared this photos of a double braided updo. Although braids typically work best on medium to long hair, we think versions of this elegant French braid will work perfectly with longer bobs.

Looking to revamp your half updo? Look no further than this crown braid version of the classic style. Simply pin two normal braids around your head to create a halo effect! That simple!

Kerry Washington's go-to hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew created this gorgeous halo-style braid. This look particularly looks nice on those with highlights, as it puts color front and center!

Sporty gals will adore this inverted braided ponytail. Simply braid your hair in an inverted or Dutch braid, tugging some strands at the top to create added volume. Stop at the nape of the neck and tie off into a ponytail. Voila!

We admit this look might be a bit advance for the newbie braider, but trust us, this is one weave worth practicing. The Dutch braid flows down the length of the hair to create a snake-like effect. Cue swoons now!

Hair guru Sarah Potempa created this enviable half fishtail. The fattened version of the pretty plait works well on thick hair and spices up any half updo.
